About
Halls that loop forever. You are given tools to break out of the loop but can you truly escape? Hallway shot is what happens when you condense a survival horror game into an extremely long hallway.
Five Halls are randomized with a new hall only replacing an old one when a solution is found. Search through furniture for useful items. Halls will be full of random puzzles, enemies, friends, and a variety of other things. In Hallway Shot you find items, solve puzzles, and escape monsters to solve every hall and eventually leave the hallway. Even if you can't figure out a hall's puzzle, there are numerous alternative solutions that let you remove it from the loop and try to solve it again later.

Reviews
Full disclosure I was a beta tester for this game, but I was not paid for this review. Hallway shot is an interesting puzzle horror game that plays on the trope of that one hallway shot scene in some horror games. You know the one, the long drawn out corridor that leads to another room or place, but the quiet tension leaves you on edge. Is there something there? What's beyond the door at the end? This game has a plentiful selection of puzzles mixed with ambient rooms in between. The game is also fairly short and can be beaten in a few hours, so it's a pretty fun time.
Short game, took me couple hours to beat it. Laughed at what you could do to a couple of the puzzles. Enjoyed the short cartoons you unlock. Will say couple things, -If you have trouble aiming you can turn on the crosshair in Options. -If puzzles aren't working, try closing the game and restarting. That should fix them (at least that worked for me)

Hallway Shot isn't perfect. If it were a cake, it would be a cake that is only partially frosted, and maybe a flavor that i'm not particularly fond of. Not entirely un-enjoyable, but lacking in certain areas. It has a smattering of silly gags and puzzles, and many ways to do them "Incorrectly", which does add to the charm of the package as a whole. However, for as many tiny chuckles as the game gave me, it met in kind with frustrations that felt avoidable. A couple rooms had solutions that, although I knew I was doing correctly, were just finicky enough that it had me questioning if I really had parsed out the right solution. At the end of my playthrough, I was left wandering the halls, empty room after empty room, only to find that a room that I hadn't thought about as anything more than a silly gag, was in fact a "puzzle". Not only that, but one that requires nothing more than patience. On it's own, not a big deal, but it being the only "Puzzle" in the game that requires you to do absolutely nothing, it left me flummoxed and a bit on the angry side. At the end of the day, the game costs about as much as a good cup of coffee, and gives enough small gags that it is worth it to check out if you're willing to put up with a a lack of polish and some jank.
This game is almost the definition of refusing to hold your hand, not sure the mechanics work for a puzzle? not sure what your looking for to solve a puzzle, not sure what the story line is? figure it out, this may seem like a rough way to look at the puzzles and mechanics of the game, however it does start of with easier puzzles and works it way up to becoming harder and does leave you with a sense of accomplishment when you finally figure it out, (im really bad at rolling joints) but its fun to figure out the puzzles with little info and the boss battles feel engaging in this short experience.
