KOSTENLOS
Cappy racing game with some weird toy characters. Different power ups like ink, hamster ball, annoying magnet that pulls everyone together immobilizing racing capabilities and marble balls to ruin the gameplay. Collect golden buttons for turbo boost or drift for same effect. Controls are working. Music gets on your nerve. 4 characters, 4 vehicles and 3 tracks sums up the game. Skip? Yes.
I downloaded the game because I have played SMU Guildhall's Rhome and most of their graduates games are nice. This was a disappointment. I have seen a 2 thumbs-up reviews here copy-pasting exact words in each others' review. Positive: Controls works fine. Cute 'Kinder-Surprise' type figurines characters Customisable Kart outlook and wheels (don't think it has any status advantages) Appearances of the weapons and karts and the track are imaginative. Mario-Kart style type attempt of a racing car game (Buttons: items, boost, drift, accelerate, left and right, pause, reverse). Negatives: After going past the starting line in the 2nd stage (bathroom), all the cars (including the COMs) were flying in the air /levitating off track, until after half of the track has been covered, our car managed to finally land on the ground. Passing the finish line doesn't mean the software records your lap as 2nd lap. The number doesn't change/record at all. I tried to look for the graphics option to lower the frame rates, unfortunately, there isn't any options for graphics other than screen size and sound options. I would say it is possible that it the programming has gone wrong. Overall: I would really say, avoid. Me and my husband have no idea what we have just 'played'. But as it is free, try it yourself, and you will get what I mean. Lenovo Yoga Wins 10 Intel Core i5-6200U 2.30GHz CPU NVIDIA GeForce920M.
"HaberDashers" is a student project from the SMU Guildhall and once more the students passed the course this year. This is a servicable toy racer/micro racer kart game that has you driving around on tracks in an oversized home. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Yes, believe it or not. While this is far from a perfect game, the deficiencies and drawbacks can be overlooked due to the zero up front price and the value you get out of it. It's greater than the sum of its parts, and worth downloading if you're a fan of this kind of gaming experience.
Its the Walmart version of Mario-Kart.
Do not listen to all these positive reviews, they're actually bullsh1t. -Horrible game with bad graphics and bad physics -Kart customization very minimal, only 4 character with 1 alt custome per character (just another colour shirt for example) -Drifting slows you down way too much, and boosts are way too strong. -Whole game feels like you're driving uphill and feels extremely slow in general. -Useless tutorials -Only 3 bad tracks, very bland design with no reason to come back to. -AI is braindead. -Character design are really bad free models All these positive reviews are probably by friends or devs. This game sucks. 0.1 Star out of 5
