Little jank but a ton of fun. Glad Iron PIneapple made a quick shoutout for this game.
I'm so surprised this doesn't have more reviews. This isn't just free, it's absolutely worth your time. Don't treat it as anything serious and you will have a blast trying out weirdly shaped "balls" (I mean you can't call a full leg a ball) on increasingly precarious lanes. I have never been so unfazed by gutter balls because it's just fun. Music also slaps. I always know I'm in for a good time if there's care in the soundtrack.
Crappy bowling game where you control the ball and try to hit the strike. Plays mostly like a platform game and tbh a bad one. Each level consists of repeating a few of the same rounds so it gets pretty boring. Waste of time, play some decent platformer.
Great game, can't wait for further updates/ DLC please add 4 player co-op, workshop would be awesome too
I must say, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The game boasts an exceptionally smooth UI/UX with user-friendly design with vivid detail and creativity. What truly sets Roll for Life apart is how the elegant design and beautiful graphics come together to create an immersive experience.
This was great. So much fun. If you do get it and play it to completion, please get the supporter DLC to show your appreciation. I look forward to more DLC (especially if it's more Dark Souls or maybe FNAF related :3 )
I didn't play for long, but this truly is the Dark Souls of bowling games
Definitely not what i was expecting, but its a fun game indeed and a good way to kill some time not to mention free. This is certainly one of the the Bowling games of all time. Would recommend.
ImpossiBowl: A Strike Against the Ordinary ImpossiBowl isn't your average bowling game. This indie gem throws in platforming elements and a healthy dose of chaos to create a unique and wildly entertaining experience. Developed by Ducktopus Games, ImpossiBowl is a must-try for gamers seeking a challenge (and a few laughs). Striking the Perfect Blend The core gameplay combines familiar bowling mechanics with platforming. You'll roll your ball across levels that defy traditional bowling lanes, navigating moving platforms, hazards, and even collecting power-ups. This blend of genres keeps things fresh and throws in a surprising amount of strategic depth. Lining up the perfect shot requires not only precision but also an awareness of the level's layout and obstacles. Weird Wonderful Worlds ImpossiBowl's creativity truly shines in its level design. Forget stuffy bowling alleys; here, you'll be launching your ball through neon cityscapes, navigating precarious ice floes, and even bowling through outer space. Each level is visually distinct and introduces new mechanics to keep you on your toes. Unlocking the Fun As you progress, you'll unlock new types of bowling balls, each with unique properties. A heavy ball might be perfect for knocking down pins, while a lighter one could be ideal for soaring across gaps. This adds another layer of strategy, letting you choose the right tool for the job. A Challenge for Champions ImpossiBowl wears its difficulty on its sleeve. Don't expect to roll strikes on your first try. The game requires patience, precision, and a healthy dose of perseverance. But conquering a particularly tough level is incredibly rewarding, and the constant improvement loop keeps you coming back for more. A Few Scratches on the Lane ImpossiBowl isn't without its flaws. The controls can feel a bit floaty at times, especially when navigating platforms. Additionally, while the game offers a variety of unlockables, some players might wish for a deeper progression system. Final Verdict ImpossiBowl is a fantastic game that injects a healthy dose of chaos and creativity into the classic sport of bowling. With its unique blend of genres, challenging levels, and quirky aesthetics, ImpossiBowl is a must-play for gamers looking for a fresh and addictive experience. Just be prepared to channel your inner champion, because those perfect strikes won't come easy. Recommendation: Buy it, especially if you're looking for a challenge and enjoy innovative takes on familiar genres
"ImpossiBowl" described incorrectly by the developer as a bowling game with platforming mechanics. The developer is wrong. This is a crappy marble physics roller/endless runner kitbashed out of Unreal as lazily as possible and rushed onto Steam Direct as donationware. What do you do in the game? Roll along various preset endless runner courses. Think of this as about halfway between Temple Runner and Flappy Bird. Yes, both of those are mobile apps. Such is the state of "indie" amateur game development in 2023. The graphics aren't great. That's understandably be turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $9 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even after that, this is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
