GyroBlade

Here is the thing with this style of shmup....just looking at the photos you will have a very good idea if this is your game or not. Gyro Blade is an ok shmup, but doesn't really stand out in any area. It is extremely basic with just movement and an attack button. The enemies are standard, the power-ups are standard, the difficulty is standard, the game speed is standard, and so forth. It really doesn't feel like it progressed passed the NES days of 1985. In fact...by the time you think of games like Xevious or Legendary Wings....you have already surpassed this one in depth. Here is where the real problem is: I can't say it isn't fun. Repetitive, yes, and to a greater degree more repetitive then say 1942...but it isn't boring. But is it $5 fun? You can do better. So my advice to shmup fans: get the game on a big discount (like $1), or don't get it at all. It is really that simple.

GyroBlade é um pequeno jogo indie que surfa na onda retrogamer com inspiração clara em shmups como Tiger Heli e Twin Cobra, ambos da Toaplan. Os gráficos simples convencem, os controles respondem bem, a música casa perfeitamente, a diversão é garantida, pelo menos até a primeira fase, a partir daí você percebe que o jogo é repetitivo sem absolutamente nada de novo a oferecer, a musica que elogiei tem um problema, é mesma para o jogo inteiro, se não for, eu não consegui perceber variação durante as fases, os inimigos tem apenas dois tipos de tiros, e os chefes tem sempre o mesmo padrão e são pouco inspirados. Para piorar, seu helicóptero não tem arma secundária, nada de bombas ou outro tipo de tiro, apenas o mesmo tiro que sobe até 3 ou 4 vezes de intensidade com powerups. Se você morrer, perde todos os powerups, os inimigos mesmo os mais simples tankam facilmente seu tiro inicial, o que torna o jogo enfadonho muito rapidamente. Finalizei Gyroblade em questão de meia hora e não sinto vontade de retornar, fator replay = 0, dificilmente não recomendo um jogo que não tenha uma falha grave que justifique, o pecado de Gyroblade entretanto, é que consegue lhe manter interessado no máximo por uns 10 minutos.

とても懐かしい～２０年以上前の同人ゲームです。 ゲームにはヘリと戦車しかでないシンプルな「ヘリ好き」なヘリゲーです。 とくにうちが好きなんはこのチープなBGMがとても良く、プレイ中はSEはOFFでBGMを聞きながらプレイが好きです。 BladeのこのBGMがGyroGunner２で再来します。 見た目はバングリングベイを彷彿とさせるゲームですが「レトロゲー」の醍醐味という事で...。 これがGyroGunner２のベースですね～これにGyroGunnerがプラスされて「２」になるんですね～(∩´∀｀)∩

Retro style shoot-em-up that looks like what was in arcades around 1985~86, if you have ever played Toaplan's Tiger Heli it's like that but with air enemies as well. Worth the price if that's what you like (I do). I do wish there were super bombs and maybe more variety in aircraft colors. It may be color coding to differentiate between air (red), and land/sea (green) though.

Buena jugabilidad ,pero esto no llega ni a imitar decentemente a los clásicos como "1942",escenarios muy repetitivos en cada fase,lo que lastra mucho el juego, muy pobre ,como su precio,que justificado está de barato.Bodrio que `podria haber sido algo mas.Tan dificil era hacer escenarios mas variados?
