Tags: Platformer Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Low quality. Lazy level design. Concept is clunky. Setting is confused. Audiovisuals are terrible. Review: Gunworld starts off by not giving you resolution options, not fullscreening correctly and labeling in the bottom right corner that it is a pre alpha demo. Great. The game is very strange, you swing a sword that does next to no damage. You can also throw a seed around, which will produce a flower that contains a gun that you can then take out of the flower and shoot until you run out of ammo. This is very clunky as you often are on short platforms and have no space to put the seed on to get a different gun. The guns themselves, of which there were two that were available out of a theoretical 9 or so, were just shooting tiny boring bullets either straight or in a V-shaped arc. The main foes were little... imps in pink dresses? Most of the levels were lazily placed platforms and insta-death pitfalls. You sometimes have to jump down a pitfall to access a lower part of the map and the difference between death ones and progression ones is not always clear. The game had the good taste not to have you jump blindly in an area with foes in it at least. The character sprites reminded me vaguely of Broforce which is what you should be playing instead of this underwhelming title. After finishing the first map I could select between five different stages, I tried two and they were both equally bland, uninspired, and surprisingly difficult due to to tiny platforms, instead death, the inabilty to heal, the fact that you can only get hit three times, and the fact that most of your weapons do little, and sometimes absolutely no damage to foes. So in that sense it is a lot more of a precision platformer and a lot less of a sidescroll shooting game despite the title. Conclusion: This is outclassed by any decent sidescroll shooter or platformer. It is bundletrash clutterware and the fact that it still claims to be an alpha demo after all this time borders on the insulting

good game
Bad
Platform come tanti altri... povero di idee e level deseign non ispirato.
Interesting concept of being able to grow guns. The game just feels like it was never close to finished. The guns don't do enough damage to enemies often requiring have of your ammo for even the basic ones. The enemies are often at frustrating angles to even try to attack. The platforming is frustrating. Even if you find the special seeds to grow better guns it doesn't seem to work. So you are always stuck with the basic weapons which feel terrible.
