Gunstoppable is a fast-paced FPS roguelite where momentum and speed are everything: speed equals damage, and damage is king. The story is very much a “turn off your brain and enjoy the ride” kind of experience, but the voice acting helps make it entertaining. It even features my personal GOAT, Gianni Matragrano, who voices two characters in the game: Johnny Jetpack and Kane the Rat. The music was probably the biggest surprise for me and ended up being one of the game's standout features. Every track feels memorable and has a way of getting stuck in your head, especially while you're grinding through tower floors. That said, the game does feel somewhat disjointed in how it blends its story and gameplay. Some of the narrative and design choices make it hard to feel like you're actually playing as Fenix. Instead, it sometimes feels like you're simply a viewer watching the livestream that's apparently taking place, which isn't really explained well. There are also some smaller bugs and bits of jank, but the developer has been actively listening to bug reports and feedback on Discord, so I'm confident that most of the rough edges will get ironed out over time. Would I recommend Gunstoppable? It's a bit difficult to give it a simple, blanket recommendation. Instead, I'd recommend it with a few caveats: if you enjoy speedrunning, theorycrafting builds with different weapon and perk combinations, you'll probably have a great time grinding tower floors and climbing the leaderboards. The developer has also mentioned a content update planned for September, so if you're on the fence, that might be the best time to pick it up. 7/10 My 100k views + 20 tower floors on nightmare run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvzfA9GyO4c

Best way to put it is "almost a good game." At its very core the movement is almost fun, but not quite, and the shooting is underwhelming. Even if everything else was off the charts fantastic (which they're not), those two aspects alone make me uninterested in playing anymore. The dialogue is horrible and the art style is unique at best. To say that it's a terrible game would be inaccurate, it's just not good enough for me.
Fun, action-packed and addicting gameplay!
[strike] Its probably a good game but my system can't run it smoothly :D[/strike] Much better experience now after the hotfix.
reminds me of ultrakill
im sorry, but i cant recommend this game, at least in its current state. the idea is there, but as said by some other users, it wasnt executed well. i mean no hate, i love the artstyle, the gameplay, but it just feels rushed and buggy.
WORKS GREAT ON MY STEAMDECK! Been playing this for a while and having a blast! The idea of using your speed to fill up a meter that affects your guns is pretty genius! It being a roguelike with a decent amount of depth is freaking perfect for my steamdeck at this price range People might think im weird looking super stressed in the park or on a plane with my steam deck but they're not going to know that im flying through the work with siickkkk movement fighting some crazy boss in this game haha Also pls drop the soundtrack it's so good!!!
Extremely satisfying gun play. The fast paced chaotic nature of this game is exactly what makes it so good. Absolutely loving this and can't wait to play more!
Super fast paced and with upgrades around every corner. If you want to play a game that keeps you tense and constantly on the run, this is the one. Delivers on the same experience as the big budget games at the fraction of the price!
the game is fun it has a small story, when you are done with it you can go endless by not going in the escape pod, it is a little expensive for what it is but worth it for some :)
