Tags: Sidescroll Shooter Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Japanese flavor, scanlines, and nice animations go only so far with Xbox360pad not detected, limited field of vision and improper twinstick implementation. This is the kind of game where the jump takes a while to execute, you cannot aim and shoot in diagonal without moving forward at the same time and enemies can bulletsponge a bit have you sort of slide around the level as you try to keep a lock on target. The game is heavily pixelated and the default keyboard control binds are laughable (Z, X...) Despite a few problems I would stand a better chance of finding decent gameplay in the latest Megaman. https://store.steampowered.com/app/742300/Mega_Man_11__11/ Otherwise for a more military flavor I'd opt with gunslugs
Terrible port. I loved this game on PSP and I remember playing it on PC. But for some reason I can't get past the title screen now. There's a RPG control scheme for some reason (z for confirmation and arrows for navigating the menu) despite my Xbox controller clearly being recognized (game showing me at the bottom of the window that buttons are mapped: A for confirmation and B for back). Controller won't work, at least in the menu and fullscreen mode breaking the game. And the cherry on top is that Esc closing the whole game and I constantly forget that I need to press X for back instead of Esc

Shame you can't buy this game anymore. It's damn good.
Overall has some glitches and some objectives are not clear but a fun time to just blast through in about 4 hours or so depending on your skill level
Cute little game, no idea why it was taken off the steam search. It was short, but fun.
Didn't know this was removed from Steam years ago... I think I played the original doujin release back when it was new. I'm down for a game clearly inspired by the Assault Suits series (games that back in the 16 bit era were localized, with cuts, as Target Earth and Cybernator), and the love of the developer for those games is clear, starting from the graphics whose resolution may be quite low but look straight out of a Sega Saturn. Unfortunately, it immediately trips with the controls. The keyboard layout is not comfortable and, worse, not remappable. I then plugged a controller but I needed to map commands one by one. Now, I'm not used to controllers much but even then, the feeling wasn't that great: it's fun in less hectic moments but where it would be needed the most, there is not a sensation of full, tight control. It also seems to have been ported badly (while the original is for Windows, this upgraded version was released on PSP first), so on a PC not for gaming but still more than enough to run more recent 2D games, it goes into slow motion in fullscreen. Not even something related to more recent Windows versions or CPU/GPU, as it's been reported ever since its release. Also, when quitting, it doesn't fully close and I've found no other way that closing the whole Steam client every time. Between two of the main missions there is a "Scramble Mission" that requires to first remove the heavy armor, otherwise the mecha won't be able to fly at all, but it's badly explained. There are some great setpieces that display, once again, the passion put into the game but it sadly struggles a lot to be fun. The story has a nice anime series flair, with even some "eyecatches" with characters, but suffers an iffy translation, and a main enemy introduced late who talks nonsense. Maybe when I get more used to controllers I may give another spin but the overall mixed rating is fair.
There doesn't seem to be any controller compatibility and the game menu has no options for changing button assignments to play the game. You just have to keep button mashing until you find a key stroke that does something in the game. It's completely broken, which is a shame because it looks fun to play.
Good luck playing fullscreen. This thing is a mess.
