Bro, este juego es realmente divertido. Mi infancia sólo tuvo la demo y cuando descubrí que existía la versión completa en steam no dude en comprarla. Debería existir una versión para teléfonos.

Found out this was on Steam, felt the need for a nostalgic replay after misplacing my PS1 version. It... has flaws. Invisible walkways are not fun. Some of the levels require some RIDICULOUS precision, made worse by levels having SECRET ZYMBOTS that are tougher and longer than the original stage. It has some weird delays on pausing and alt-tabbing. I also think it might have a glitch with completion checks, since a few areas I've fully cleared each level and BONUS ZYMBOT with a collectable coin worth 500 points, but it still goes "sorry not all-clear ㄟ( ▔, ▔ )ㄏ". The audio mixing feels a bit inconsistent, and there's no controls for that in-game, but I'm willing to give it a bit of understanding considering it came out in 1996 or so. Overall, it's a neat Pacman-adjacent game. It has a solid number of levels that'll take a few hours to work through - not bad for £7.20 in my opinion, though I imagine some would have qualms about paying that much for a touched-up game from the nineties with zero Steam integration. Grab a tool, pull things out of the floor (or in some weird cases... place things IN the floor before then removing them! madness I tells ya), listen to some MIDI tunes that you could easily believe belonged in the original Doom games, and get Gubble off this dang planet!

Gubble is a fun little puzzle game from the mid 90s, and one of the first PC games I ever played. Although this version looks nice and has the benefit of actually running on my system (a feat that my CD copy of the game just cannot pull off anymore), there is a big difference that makes this version a little too easy for my taste, which is the health and save system. In the original game, the only way to heal Gubble was to either find a health pickup or to save your game, the latter being a one-time consumable (which is why each world has 3 to 4 saves). In this version of the game, health refills automatically at the end of each level and saves are unlimited... which doesn't even matter since the game autosaves after each level anyway. I have nothing against accessibility and safeguarding against some truly difficult, 90s style gameplay shenanigans, but it would have been nice to also have a gamemode that restores the original game's difficulty. Still gonna give this a positive review, but be warned that this version isn't the same one you grew up on.
