About
In Gridiron Grilling, the player chooses to play as 1 of 5 different meats/cuts of meats: T-Bone steak, Ribs, Lamb Chop, Pork, and Chuck Steak. Each of these characters has their own unique playstyle and unique pool of cards they can use to add to their deck. Each Act will feature a different group from the food pyramid to take on, culminating in a boss fight. At the end of each Act, you are rewarded with a mighty legendary card to fill in the gaps of your decks' weaknesses or push your game plan even further.

Chuck uses his high mobility and poison-tipped forks to dance around the battlefield and defeat his enemies over time while staying untouched.

Lambella uses her peppermill to strengthen her resolve and damage her would-be assailants. Shes a tough cut of meat and enjoys watching the enemy struggle. Stay healthy while watching the non-meats sweat.

Porkle uses his various cooking oils - at least we think that's what they are - to confuse his enemies and take them out of the fight. Porkle has many tricks in his measuring cups to always keep his foes guessing.

Ribina uses her sack of spices to quite literally change the battlefield. Her spices can manifest as everything from spider webs to explosive fields that take no prisoners. Shes able to command the battlefield to always keep the fight in her favor.

CORN - PROTECTOR OF VEGGIES

PINEAPPLE - FRUIT ASSASSIN

MILKSHAKE - SAVIOR OF DAIRY AND SWEETS

PASTA MAN - HE'S PASTA

PATTY THE IMPOSSIBLE - THE MEAT ABOMINATION

Takes awhile to understand the behavior of each enemy and how they play but once you do it feels pretty good. I was able to clear the full game after 4 or 5 hours and then I tried out some other characters. Surprised at the variety of playstyles considering this game was made in 6 months by 1 dev according to twitter.
This is a fun and quite entertaining deck building game. I had an extremely good time playing it and will continue to do so so I can beat it with all the different character!
This game has really good writing and made me chuckle in every new act multiple times, the theme is also unique and fits the narrative well. Played through each of the characters and they all feel like they have their own set of unique skills/playstyle as well. For a first game from this developer this is a great debut, looking forward to future games!
