I've played a lot of marble rolling games, and Great Marble Adventure is one of the best I've played! The physics feel fantastic, in some cases they feel even better than those of the Marble Blast series (from which the game was inspired). The game has tons of levels of various difficulty, and grinding out the game's "red perfect" is quite fun and satisfying when you get them. The only real issue I have with the game is that the levels can sometimes have a bit too many gems in them, making creative pathfinding tricky. This could also be because I'm trash at pathfinding :) I can tell the developer NaCL568 put a lot of time and care into this game! When I put in a feature request for a FOV slider and other small tweaks, the game was updated within a few hours to have the new features which is incredible. Massive shoutout there! Overall, I highly recommend Great Marble Adventure to anyone who enjoys marble games!
A serviceable Marble blast clone, albeit with a questionable tutorial that doesn't fully explain what you're meant to do in some places. Also controllers don't yet work properly - though this is due t be fixed in an upcoming update. Changing my review to Positive because the game itself is actually quite fun and the developer is responsive,
Is it the perfect Marble Blast spinoff game? By no means. But "Great Marble Adventure" has quite a bit of content packed in it. In total, it's got 230 levels -- the majority of which are the same, but with three difficulty variants which range in their obstacles -- a hefty amount to not only finish, but complete without dying for the 100%. Even more daunting is obtaining all 230 "red perfects," which I didn't take the time to do (as of writing; probably won't anytime soon). But it's a fun game. Not quite as creative in level design as Marble It Up! or the OG mod Marble Blast Platinum, with later stages just being long rather than offering something uniquely challenging, but it's still the same good marble platforming I've come to expect from this niche. Took me over 100 hours to finish all of the achievements in this, so this was very satisfying to complete. 7/10
Fun and very approachable/beginner-friendly marble game. Easy to start playing, with loads of challenging content for those wanting more. 100% recommend as the go-to game to start with in the marble genre.
This is one of the best ball rollers on Steam. If you liked Marble Blast, this is built in the same spirit. Brings together a lot of mechanics that you see spread across other ball rolling games to provide a lot of variety. Gameplay is also very smooth. Highly recommended!
As Mazik stated in his review, I am indeed a fabled "marble connoisseur." This is definitely one of the best marble platformer games I've played. There is also quite a lot of content. I had a great time 100%ing this game, but it didn't come easy. This game has some really brutal levels towards the end, but I still thoroughly enjoyed finally beating every challenge that was thrown at me. This game can appeal to everyone who likes platformers, regardless of skill level, due to the different difficulties in the game. But for the real gamers, there's a hefty amount of really difficult levels that you can tackle. The marble controls really well, it's very fast paced, and there is always room to improve your abilities. Sometimes the physics might be a bit weird, but everything about the game is learnable and usually consistent. Overall, really fun game with very satisfying controls, and a high level of difficulty that I enjoyed conquering.
An excellent addition to the Marble Blasting genre, Great Marble Adventure offers a wealth of levels with high replayability and beautiful environmental design. The highlight of this game is that it takes all the core gameplay elements of previous games in the subgenre and rapidly implements them into its levels, effortlessly weaving in a variety of platforming sections and puzzles. Most of the levels feature section after section of marble blasting challenges, and like most of the genre derivatives I've played, it feels closer to the Platinum levels than the original MBG, which is great for those who enjoy these denser, and often more complex levels (barring that dreaded OG Three-Fold Maze, of course). There's a lot of content in this game. A ton of it, in fact. Each level has multiple variants, maxing out at three each, divided into easy, medium, and hard. Difficult numbers show you a good idea of how tough the challenges are. Some sections will leave you frustrated as you try your 159th attempt (but then again, is it really a marble blasting game if it isn't?). One of those spinny sections in Chapter 3 was a great example of that. On the contrary, the mushroom forest level was one of my standout favourites. The HUD is serviceable but isn't exactly gorgeous. The menus offer a good amount of settings and customization but navigation might be a bit hard, such as the slider for mouse sens, which is tucked away behind several menus. And sometimes the lens flare is too much. Oh, but I really enjoy the instant respawn feature. That's great for QoL and I wish more marble games had that. Overall with a bunch of content ranging from Learning to Roll easy, to beyond hard, can be found all packed into this gem of a game. I would have liked to see more levels where no gems are present or some more wacky and fun ones that put you where no marble should go, but I am very pleased to have been a part of this experience. Anyone who is remotely interesting in blasting balls will have a blast here and the amount of content is more than worth the price.
Good game I love It
pretty good, just keep in mind that this thing's graphics are intense and will kill your computer
