Definitely more of a Proof of Concept. Cool ideas bring you deeper into the game, but then the details start to make you hate it. This game's code may have killed me more times than Mario 64's camera lol Biggest change that would make this game loads more fun: Custom Level uploads and a place to download them. I saw level editor but no community made levels in the workshop or mod sites. As it stands there's 4 hours of gameplay, then you're down to speedrunning the 30 levels.
The game feels like it has an identity crisis and don't know wheter or not it wants to be the concept demo this was created from, or whatever this game is. Unironically, the best levels are the ones from the concept, which is included in the game, making the comparison easy. The other levels range from being decent, to downright wonky, where as the concept levels had you moving linear through a level, dealing with whatever obstacles that came in your way, to at the end dunk the hoop, said levels felt as if they had the right flow. The new levels however are more arenas, where you have to dunk multiple hoops in no particular order, makign the flow of the game less coherent. Other times the game modes are to elminate all the enemies in the game and is honestly a pretty decent game mode. the boss fights feels tacked on and is a 180 of what the core gameplay is and just never were fun. Worst part of the levels, is that they can be very restrictive at times, making it hard to do much movement, as you'll end up hitting the borders of the levels, thus restarting said level. When you have a fast paced movement "basketball" game, you'd expect the controls to be functional, but multiple times i've encoutered buttons either not responding or doing something they weren't supposed to do. Like the button to throw the basketball would throw a punch instead, or the slide button would simply make you crouch, despite you running. The movement itself seems to be battling the game, as multiple times the enviroment pulled my character to a stopping halt, despite the level being designed in a way, that one would assume to be a continous movement without any issues. for example, having to slide from 1 object to the other, when hitting the other object, while being in the "slide mode" will cause you to make a sudden stop and you won't have enough momentum to reach the next objects. The game feels as much as a proof of concept as the proof of concept did back then, just executed worse and feels more confused. On top of that the game is FILLED with bugs that can cause you to have to restart the level or just causes you inconvenience, such as suddenly entering 3rd person mode, getting stuck in enemies or bosses, or glitching out in the enviroment. You also go through all the game has to offer rather quickly. It might be up someones weird alley, but i wouldn't recommend it

Lacking content and plays like a tech demo. only leaving a thumbs up because I feel like the idea works and could amount to something with a real budget.
FUN AND COUNTLESS FUN HOURS OF FUN
It is one of kinda game which is why I bought it and because im also a fan of fast-paced games I dont like the movement in this game it wasnt horrible to unplayable lvl but it I dont enjoy it ,I also dont like the boss fights it is boring ,Cyber Hook was way much better experience if you really looking to swing around super fast and have fun
Grapple hoops is the coolest game ever. It's like eating bottomless fries. Thank you developpers
Very fun game to speedrun! Good groovement
I Just finished it, and dam, this game is cool, it scratches that itch after cyber hook. I'm not going to say it's as good, but it's damn close. If not for that grind for the achievement and a few bugs, i would say it is that good. Yeah, but come on, 5000 enemies to dunk on? What even counts as a dunk on enemie? Anyway, if you got few sper bucks and enjoyed Cyber Hook, Cluster Truck, Ultra kill ore Ghostrunner, you should get it. ps. it seams it is dead
5/10 the movement is fun and the gimmick is good but the bosses SUCK and make it so much worse, the demo was definitely better
A bit of a clunky and short game. Definitely wait for a sale That said, this Spiderman Basketball Simulator is super fun
