Charming art style, addictive deck crafting. Took me a little while to wrap my head around the mechanics and start figuring out builds, but now I think this might be my favourite card game after Slay the Spire (although they are nothing alike). If it sounds like your cup of tea, give it a shot—we need more cheap, well-designed games like this with such lovely art.
Brilliant game so far. It obviously takes a lot of inspiration from the Bazaar which is absolutely fine for me as someone who liked the Bazaar but didn't like the dev team's choices. The main USP of the game is that it is a deck builder where your cards are drawn and played automatically. I was a bit skeptical of this at first but it works really well. The energy system that they have created is unique and there are lots of options to refine your draw order. It has some work to do with the events as they are quite repetitive, but that is the only minor negative. The theme and art style is fun and well executed. Music and SFX are great too. Would be a good £15 game so for less than half that it is a steal.

It's a pvp autobattler/deckbuilder. If any of those keywords interest you you'll probably like it. Ever wanted to fortify yourself in the Bastille powered by cheese? Now you can. The one thing I will say is that you can tell that Ratagnan was the first character designed, in a good way, because the theming for him is impeccable. They hit French Mouse Musketeer straight on. In comparison the other two characters feel ever so slightly less loved. They play well, their themes just aren't as tight. All in all, its worth a look if any part of this description grabbed you.
Grail is similar to The Bazaar but it does enough different to make it distinct and interesting. Decks are not limited by size, they require more a more active build to mitigate energy costs, and are subject to some RNG when played. In turn, the game is a slightly less deep, making it a little easier in execution and a bit more repetitive from run to run. These are not necessarily criticisms, just evaluations of the game's current state. What sets it apart from games like The Bazaar is that there are so many different, capable strategies for winning. Of course, there are very clear winning strategies, but any deck and decisions played correctly can make it to the final day. I have been surprised more than a few times when a deck I didn't think was going anywhere at first managed to do something crazy and fun by the end. In that way, this feels more like a curated and enjoyable experience than other deckbuilders and auto-battlers. It has all the right parts of both and makes it consistently fun.
P?romsiing but unbalanced and therefore not ready to release.
Excellent auto battler and deckbuilder. The build variety is strong and the artwork is amazing. I have over a hundred hours and I'm still finding new builds. Cannot recommend enough
(100 hours in the pre-release demo) A pretty novel pvp autobattler deckbuilder. The energy system may take a bit of getting used to at first but it works well once you understand it. The aesthetic and music are quite pleasant. With the price tag also being this low, it's an easy recommend.
I LOVE GRAIL!!!!! GET THIS GAME!!!
really addictive game. If you're into The Bazaar I can highly recommend!
I upped my patreon tier just so I could play more of this before launch and let me tell you - it is an incredible game. I could elaborate on all the synergies and fun builds, but I will keep it brief: my favorite thing about Grail is how easy it is to do a 180 mid-run, sell everything, and go all-in on some insane 3-card Crit/Carrot deck strategy that struck you like a bolt of lighting at 2am.
