Silly game. I had fun with it, but I don't think I'll play its DLCs, because they're too hard for my taste. They're all free btw. The mechanics for playing the golf ball are bad, but that might be intentional. It also has some good puzzles, which add up to the variaty. I got stuck at one and had to look up in the internet. Honestly its solutions are all logical, so you can get them on your own. I'd estimate, that you can finish the main game within a few hours.
yikes. i don't know how this was recommended to me and i knew the level of the dev's skill (Or lacktherof) going into it..but i figured, what the heck - ive played many lofi games like this that have really surprised me....well, this one surprised me in that it got a decent amount of hype from lovecraftian-game fans...and yet, its absolute ♥♥♥♥. my time is more valuable than it would take to refund this (but not more valuable to steer people away from spending more than a ten US cents on it). This should be free to 0.50 cents. the experience (what little there is) is both disappointing and tedious. there are no scares. no hint of lovecraft or a lovecraftian atmostphere (random soundbytes and meme horror doesn't count as eldritch cosmic mind-melting genre that is true lovecraftian fiction)...i would say, i'd like to see more from this dev before passing harsh judgement but this is such a bad first impression that i doubt i'll ever think about this (or the dev) again...if i do come across this person's work, i'll likely give it wide berth. hate to tear apart someone's work like this but it wasn't hard work so i don't care. (and yes, i could have done better. have done better and still, wouldn't have had the balls to post such garbage onto steam despite it being better than this)
The game seems chill at first but once you get to holes 10-13 it becomes hell, getting past the fish and golf ball to get the valve isnt so bad, its getting back to hole 11 and finishing it without getting spotted. i tried to do hole 11 for 30 minutes straight, do not buy this game if your intending to beat it.
Gone Golfing is a surprisingly good horror game. It mixes scary elements with seemingly simple concepts like golf. The main mascot is pretty creepy but he can get pretty annoying at times. He's one of those enemies that seems to always know your location. There would be times where he would just walk away and then turn around for no reason at all. The golf physics were not terrible, but they weren't great either. As for the puzzles, most of them were fun and challenging. Theses are all first impressions as I have not beaten this game yet. As of right now, I would recommend this game.
Fun, quirky game

This is a game that I paid money for. Not a lot of money, but some money. I don't usually like horror games just because I think that they're boring, but this one gets a pass because it's still better than 90% of the horror garbage that gets shat onto steam every day. Seriously, not even just horror games, for every 1 genuinely good game there's like 100 ♥♥♥♥ games. Anyways, might come back to gone golfing at some point, but I have my eyes on that sequel. It looks good, I look forward to playing it, and I wish the best to everyone involved.
Keep in mind I've only played for 24 minutes. In that time, the "Mascot" for lack of a better term scared the bejeezus out of me quite a few times. Controls feel a bit janky. However, it's really fun to play. Certainly some puzzle solving. Read everything, fills in blanks as needed. Enjoy all.
