About
Randomized course layout for each session. Golfing in Aether accomplishes this through having each of the holes being its own independent floating island. There are currently 80 holes excluding variations in the game. The game will choose these at random from a pool at the start of a session and procedurally create the overall course layout.
Get-together with friends in sessions supporting up to 16 players online. Local multiplayer allows you to have either 4 players, each with their own controller, or have up to 8 when taking in turns using a shared input pass-the-controller mode. You can take any additional local players into online sessions with you.
Freedom to choose different modes such as playing together in real time (local players use split screen) or taking it in turns via hotseat. Online sessions also support joining as a spectator.
Cross-platform multiplayer lets you play with your Steam friends on both Windows, Linux, and mac OS, as well as with non-Steam players on other platforms, including current-gen consoles.
Compete against ghosts in practice mode for the top spot in an individual level with both global and friends only leaderboards.
Replay your previous sessions via the session replays feature. This allows you to spectate previous sessions you've played with options such as being able to see from another players perspective, use free camera, and the ability manipulate playback rate.
Customize through a range of color-pickable designs for your golf ball as well as various accessories such as hats. Five ball designs are available from the start with others being unlocked as you earn XP through playing and level up.
Accessible with full gamepad support through the inclusion of an on-screen keyboard and ability to create local player profiles for saving any customizations, player names or gamepad settings.

Really solid, quality golfing game! Honestly love this way more than golf with friends. Only issue is performance is a bit intense when doing split screen, but nothing huge.
This is the worst golfing game here on Steam. All the other ones are better. Golf with friends being the best. Dont bother with this one. - Levels are simple and boring. - Animations take the longest time, you watch the ball for dozens of seconds doing nothing before going through a tube. - Golf mechanics are bad and not accurate. This is the worst implementation of golf ever. You have no idea how much you need to increase the power and there is a second slider for some reason? + Co op works well. + Aesthetics are clear and the game runs well.
This is a polished mini game where you most likely will grind leaderboards for one night or play wiith friends a couple of times. Hopefully there will be more blocks/variety.
Fun but repetitive… I play this on my xbox with all my friends that come over and i bought it here just incase we have more than four people playing. I love the mechanics and the idea of the game but the shortcuts get so repetitive, it gets to a point where you can just win by knowing how to get every hole in one everytime. I think you should make a map creator or something maybe with steam workshop to make this game have infinite replayability. anyway love the game byebye
gold with fun
the glowstone portal wont work
Game plays well, there's a whole lot of variety in random holes, and the mechanics are solid. However, the servers are trash and extremely inconsistent. I had a very difficult time playing with friends, and even then, we only got 1 game in before people disconnected. Fix your servers. Cannot recommend in this state.
It's a decent discord and chat sort of game.
This game sucks so badly. Can't figure out how to add players to a lobby either from the same computer or through steam remote play. Fatal error occurs when trying to add more players through steam remote play.
Fun!
