Great game, really funny and challenging at the same time. Great job
A complete lack of communication between the devs and the community. Though I do feel like I could have enjoyed this game...there is no left handed mode, so I will never know for certain.
This is better than expected. The UI is great, the bow model is awesome. The controller feedback and haptics are VERY good. But honestly I'm so thankful they didn't skimp on the UI either. So many VR games do crappy laser pointer UI with just plain text. They put a lot of effort in the interface and text which is appreciated. The bow and arrow game play is really good. Super fun. I like the arrows that give special abilities and the ability to teleport to different platforms. I got this game through a VR bundle and I'm glad they included it! Awesome game so far! Better than the LAB's bow and arrow game.
I like valve's the lab a lot, so I thought this would be better, but I don't really like it. The visuals are nice, but I'm not really fond of the sound, which makes the game dull for me. Like another user said, the arrows fly slow, really really slow. The game lacks that extra punch.
I could not find settings to modify any of the sounds...not a fan. Gameplay was single player which is fine, but did not seem to have any flavor to make the game more interesting compared to other archery tower defense game without having some control of settings
This is a well polished arrow shooter, but its justt one level, plus most of the monster's are copied and pasted from other games (maybe from a common developer pack). That said it is fun and works great. For a few dollars you will have some fun with this one, but know its not a big expansive game.
This is really fun. Of course it is like the game in Valve's Lab. And astonishingly the devs ommitted a few interesting things like exploding barrels and hot oil. Nobody knows why. Maybe copyright issues :-D Still it is a nice one, although the controls are slightly worse than in Valve's game. But for whatever reason I liked this game more, I think it is because the setting, It feels right to be there on the castles's wall in the night when the monsters show up. My daughter (8) likes it as well. She does not care much about aminig but she is quick when shooting, so she does a fairly good job and wants to play whenever possible. So we have a lot of fun with the game and it is worth the money. If you decide to give it a try, do not give up after five minutes just because bow and arrow feel unnatural. You will get used to it ant then it really is ok.
XD
After upgrading from 8 to 16 GB RAM I could finally play this game without frequent lags on my AMD FX 8350 + GTX 1070 machine under Win 7 SP1, so it's not very solid technically in my opinion. Apart from that my verdict is: 4/10 I don't mind the generic graphics but I do mind the horrible and (thankfully) sparse voice acting. Sound in general is okay but with too little variety. The game is right now only one level with 2 positions to shoot from. You get a special arrow out of 4 different kinds every now and then but the real problem in the game is this: it's way too slow. Arrows fly very slowly and oncew you get the hang of it, you will probably have 3 or more flying towards the same far away enemy before the first one even hits. That means: bad feedback. You won't know whether you hit or not until a couple of seconds pass (or less depeding on distance). I played through wave 15, not taking any breaks and it took me 0.4 hours according to Steam. That's not the end of the game, of course, I think it's actually endless. But by then I was tired of it. I never felt any rush, because if you know what you're doing, there's no challenge up to that point. Enemies aren't that many and relatively slow and all you do is shoot arrow aftar arrow after arrow. Draw, shoot, draw, shoot, draw, shoot, until your arms get tired. The game was release Nov. 16 and the last update was Dec. 16 so it's probably safe to assume, there will be no more updates for this. Therefore, as it stands it's just a small tech demo. My reccommendation is: skip this and play the castle defense level of The Lab instead. Same principle, similar level of content and more polish there.
