A buggy mess of a game. I was outside of the world map within seconds of leaving the tutorial and the "combat" would constantly reset, causing my character to take unnecessary damage. Mouse movement is also extremely buggy. As far as the adult scenes go, i triggered 2, one didn't play at all and the second was just a looping 3 second video of the goblin girl's face. Don't waste your money.
TLDR: Game is SUPER unpolished RPGmaker-esque game, game breaking bugs that stop progression, only "lewd" scenes are the same copypaste uncomfortable handjob and waist up missionary POV.
Okay so I tried to play this, really did. Apparently there are multiple listings of this game each with titles extremely confusing and not making it clear which version is which. At the time of writing this review this game has been "released" three times. So for those confused; this is the third version, the latest one (as of September 6th 2024). The game is your typical grind-heavy RPG game with no clear indication if your character is "of level" to enter where they should be. Game's "western 3D" artstyle comes into view when interacting with (most) major characters, an artstyle that is so oversaturated on steam the only saving grace for Goblin Quest is that this ISNT a visual novel. If you're playing this because you've got gooner/coomer brain be aware that the only sex scenes in the game are that of the most painful handjob and waist up missionary POV. That's all you get, no other sex scenes exist (I checked games files), and even though they're videos they're SUPER laggy to watch both ingame and within the game files. Isn't the whole idea of pre-rendering these supposed to improve gameplay performance??? But it doesn't stop there, as I was getting into the swing of things I found that I just could not complete two of the three strongholds in order to advance further with the game. I spent several hours past the 2 hour minimum trying to fix these, no luck. Most common issue is character getting stuck in walls/doors when entering a new area or triggering an event. I want to like this game, heck I even wanted to fix it. However as it stands this game is not worth $20 CDN (Let alone the $12 CDN when it was on sale). There also should not be three versions of this game as it makes this all super unclear as to which is the "intended" version to play??? Shoutouts to steam for letting me get a refund tho despite me "playing" past the two hour mark.
holy mes... dont buy worse then the first just a clustwe of mess. bugs and broken nonsense honestly suprized to see this on STEAM
