Great game! I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough. This is a roguelike game. You use spells to defeat opponents. As you walk deeper in the tunnel/dungeon, you encounter enemies increasing in difficulty. If you tried the demo, I'm happy to report the full game is improved: NPCs are fully voice (by real actors, not AI), and there are keyboard shortcuts (1-7 for spells, Space to end turn). It doesn't help the game that a core mechanic only opens up after you complete the first dungeon: the spell synergies which trigger effects like freeze or stun when queuing different elements (eg. Fire followed by Ice). Progression is linear: collect resources during a run to upgrade gear and unlock higher spell tiers. For example upgrading your Hat and Coat doubles health and mana. Needless to say this makes subsequent runs much easier. In my experience there was little grinding required to beat the first four dungeons and upgrade gear to near max level. You acquire a good amount of resources just playing normally. The interface is really polished with all kind of small animations and nice sound effects. The game does a good job of introducing mechanics, showing how everything works with tooltips for all the buff/debuffs, and spells. There is also a full combat log which helps you understand how the spell synergies and effects trigger + critical hits. After you beat the first four dungeons there is an extra "endless mode" dungeon, which has one more extra unique boss. This dungeon has a ranking comparing how far you got with other players, and remembers your personal record, pretty cool. You will spend some time in this dungeon if you want to complete achievements (you can spend accumulated resources to unlock pictures in the collection). The sex scenes are pretty ridiculous involving the goblins and sometimes huge ducks ^_^. I like the 2d style of animation and it's not anime for a change. There are only 13 scenes so it's really not the main focus of the game. Most of the naughy content otherwise is illustrations for the random events where you have to chose between two options. Unlike the sex scenes which are original art, the illustrations are likely AI generated. They are polished and well made but kinda generic. Therefore while there are easily 100+ of them, it's not that exciting to unlock them. The NPCs and the witch are fully voiced. The voices are well done. The witch is really funny she yells all kind of things during combat and sometimes also curse, as do the enemies ("f*cking cockroach!"). There is not much build variety. The game is more about stacking the odds in your favor. Once you have completed the four dungeons + endless mode and unlocked achievements there is not much replay value. That said the animations and sound effects make it quite addictive and I could see myself doing another replay in a few months.
TLDR
Goblins Dungeon is a roguelike, but NOT a card game. It has a simple linear progression. A big part of the enjoyment for me was the voices of the main character, the addictive gameplay loop, funny animations and sound effects. The developer clearly has a sense of humor and despite the crude sex scenes the game has a positive vibe throughout. In a sea of shovelware adult games, this game stands out in my opinion as being original and quite polished. It is only let down by a lack of depth in the combat mechanics. It's great for a single playthrough. Pro Tip : you can drag spells to change their order so you can cast them in order 1,2,3 ... this isn't explained anywhere in game. You can do that on the Spell reward screen at end of battle.
好玩,有一些奇怪的設計,像是打王也要死一次才會解鎖戰敗畫面,如果不小心一次打贏王,就要把全部通關後才可以解鎖。
Came for the goblins, stayed because the dungeon refused to let me leave. Goblin Dungeons is funny, addictive, and way more dangerous than it looks. Every time I say “one more run,” the goblins hear it as a legally binding contract. 10/10, would get bullied underground again.
c'est très coquin tout en étant un jeu avec des sorts à faire puis réfléchir à ce que vous prenez, j'aime beaucoup ce jeu. FAITES LES TROPHES !!
I've only tested the came for a couple hours after I bought it to see how it ran but in that short time I cleared the first dungeon and really enjoyed the game mechanics. It ran wonderfully without any bugs or crashes, and the visuals are incredibly crips and well made. Some might complain about the repetitiveness of the game but I find it so far incredibly enjoyable and makes for planning the next attempt easier. Its worth giving a try, and had a some good dialogue and animation scenes. The developer put some love into this game and it shows.
The goblins are so rude I started knocking before entering rooms. 🚪👹
What happens when you’re the hero but behave like a delivery guy in hell. 📦😈
