Goaltender VR

Goaltender VR is a Sports training game in VR. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok. Plenty of options. Good for Hand - eye coordination skill training. You are only using your hands, so this is not a full Goalie experience. CONS: The devs removed this game from the steam store. Try it, if you like hockey.

Hi! I use this game to practice and also coaching junior goalies as one method. Best goalie game at the moment, been playing quite a lot. If you are developing game, here are few ideas to make game even better. - Hockey practice where are 3 shooters (speeds 1-6) needs more speed on shots, like speeds 7 and 8. - At the same event needs shots that are lower, not ground shots but allmost. This would be great on tennis ball practice also, perhaps abilty to choose wheter low shots any/all/random. - Event where are big white ball, could use difficult setting, I need more speed, juniors less. Thank you for the game.

This is a great game for practicing hand-eye if you are unable to find a group to play pickup. However I have two major complaints from my breif time playing. -Firstly: When you hit the pause button the "Exit Game" and "Quit Round" buttons are far too easy to misclick. It would be great for the user to have any button that could end a round be farther away from the resume button. -Secondly: In the mode where you have a dummy moving in an arc around you he should not be able to slide the puck along the ice. As a goalie it is very rare that you would ever go for a sliding puck with the glove or blocker, that's what the pads are for. A small complaint of mine is that the game didn't seam to be running at the vives full 90 Hz refresh rate, but this could be an issue on my end. To end this review on a good note i think it would be amazing you could encorperate the leg trackers so that we could use pads. Overall this is a solid game to train you hand eye. My personal favorite mode is the three shooters mode, I was going to have a score in the 300+ range but i had to pause to get a drink and hit the close game button that is right beside the resume button. I give this game a 7.5/10. -Needs some work but is a great tool to have as a goaltender.

Simple but addicting.

I use this program for high level reaction training that you can normally only get training with either high level players or professional ball shooting machines. I am working on developing a training program using this software that I can use to develop other goalkeepers for soccer and handball. Best goalkeeper training program for VR in my opinion.
