I don't often leave reviews but in theory this is my dream game. However the product received was abysmal. I love janky games, I love games with bad graphics. I love football and I've been wanting a football player simulator for a while. This game is not it. The shooting mechanics suck, the training system is AWFUL. I played it for just under 1 hour and barely went up 1 or 2 overall. In fact, my skills get decreasing despite having spent money on a personal trainer whilst doing the training segment. Is there something I wrong? I wouldn't know as nothing is explained. I think my player played roughly 4 or 5 games in the first season and 2 of them was because I used a powerup type thing which forced the coach to start me. The tutorial doesn't explain anything besides how to shoot and this took me at least 20 minutes to complete as there was a bug that didn't allow me to continue once I had scored the first goal. It took me 6 restarts for it to finally work. For a game that is 30 pounds, this is just unacceptable. To be honest, I wouldn't pay 5 pounds for it. This game in theory could be incredible, but the product received was awful. All the extra curricula stuff like buying cars, investing in companies, getting girlfriends and sponsors etc. are all really cool and it would have been fun to actually get further into this bit but the fact remains it is a football game and the actually football and training side of things is without doubt the worst thing I've played in a while. If you want a game that actually works and is for free, try Jumpers for Goalposts, a flash game that came out over ten years ago and actually works. I refunded this game and I would recommend you stay away from it unless the devs decide to actually fix it.
to be real with you this game could use more improvements. i get this is a striker game but what if you want to be a midfielder and a striker at the same time. there's no choice. i would love that the devs create another football(Soccer) game that actually revolves around multiple positions including goalkeepers especially someone like me who has lots of experience playing that position irl. the game is good in terms of detail but as far as workshop, i'm not going to harp on it since it's a new game. the game is well detailed and i see the simulation of a player's career reminding me of new star soccer 2010 career mode which i love. the training system is a pain. the controls made me feel like i was playing iamplayr on Facebook which had the same concept as this game i would love a control variation like maybe an automated control option/ a non timed control system especially for new players till they get used to the controls system. i find the control very confusing. is it worth the 40$+? maybe but it's best on sale. the game needs lots of work. also can we get controller support especially for people who are comfortable using controller like me. visual: 7/10 Engagement: 7.5/10 Core: 5/10 Game play: 5/10 total score 6.7/10 not an awful game just an above average game that has potential to be successful if more work is put on it.
Not a bad game, but the price is a bit high unfortunately. There are a lot of features, but the UI doesn't always help in accessing them, and there is little help from the tutorial, at the moment. However, the devs are still working on it and are very active on the forum, so I will really recommend to try it now, or waiting for a sale. For now, is a 6.5 on 10, but only because of the high price.
This is a tough one... It has a lot of options i always wanted in a manager/playersim-like game. The private sector is great..you can buy a lot of personal stuff which also helps your player .. more time, better stats - stuff like that. You can invest in your own companies (like music, fashion, gaming), you can gamble in casino, you're able to speculate on the stock market... i rly like it. You can buy tips from Ailton which also increases your stats - depending on the suggestions you bought ..they are so stupid and meaningless that it's funny again. It's with real videos of him speaking about the topic. Especially as a german who has seen him a few times live in Bremen (my hometown) and also met him at a game of bremens 2nd team it's kinda awesome even despite the stupidity. It just fits Ailton. I don't really like how they implemented the girlfriend/wife stuff... i get that it's kinda a career vs. family situation if she calls you on your phone and you have to decide .. it's always the same and tbh it's annoying that everything you do for her has negative consequences. Okay there is one call for dance-lessons, which increases your dribblingskills ...but still. More options for positive outcome out of her calls might would change my opinion about that. A season can be played in like half an hour/an hour if you just simulate the games, which is abolutely what i'm doing because otherwise you only have like 4 different scenes in which you always do the same shot .. even with more options it still would be bad because of the shootingsystem. At least you can change that in options to smthg. like "simple shots" and you don't have to bother with it anymore. I played like 8 seasons. Overall they were fun - so why did i decide to give the game a negative review (for now)? Well... there should have been a world cup which wasn't played at all. It even has a spot in some menue which does show the winner ..and it's just empty. I won the social media award like six years in a row - none of that is shown in my career stats.. evrything empty. (Oh yeah..you have a social media... and can talk to trainers and teammates and more..as i said..private sector is good.) IN total i was injured for ~250 days over the ~8 seasons ..which is normal i think ... what really grinds my gears is: i was ill in the game four times ... which is always like a little cold and 2-3 days... but evrytime it was one or two days before one if not THE biggest game of the season - champions league final, european championsship final, last game of the season which determines the leaguechampion. Yh it could just be unlucky.. but also... it's one of this games where you just feel like you can't do anything if it doesn't want you to. Playing 1st cupround with a team of strenght 70 vs a team of strenght 20? Yh let them score three times in the first five minutes and then just don't give the player any chance at all. I honestly can't tell how often games like this happen. If you're on top of the table - your team starts to loose - so it's always kinda like 1-3 points difference at the end of the season. tbf i had one season i dominated but the experience still happened in every other one. Even with 16 points up, i just started loosing every game and my player had like 1 chance to score in 5 consecutive games. Oh... cause i read something about the 1st season in another review: It's true ..you really don't play much in that... but as a 17 year old with bad stats at the begin of his career i'm totally ok with that. 2nd season i alrdy scored like 40 goals... i was more annoyed by that... the progress was kinda fast there... it didnt feel like i rly had to work for it. Training btw. is kinda lame. At the start of the week you just decide how much effort your player is gonna give in each trainingsession and then it's just some randomness if you get your skillpoint or not. So yeah... i'll have to give it a negative review for now even though it has some GREAT potential and surprised me with it's extensiveness in some points. There are just more annoying things to the game then parts that are making fun. The Price is the nail in the coffin. I still would have given it a thumbs up if it cost less than 10 euro. Dunno if they work on the game. If so - hopefully i'm able to edit this review in a positive one some day. So yh.. if those kind of games are for you: grab it on sale and get your own impression...At least that's what it deserves.
Refunded it has nice concept, i like the way we play career mode in soccer, but at this state Too many bugs, missing option, sponsorship offer eror, stuck at activity, missing simulate option, file save eror not worth the price 6/10
