About
Go Fight Fantastic is a 1-3 player hack n’ slash starring a crew of interstellar smugglers, led by their space-dog captain Bowie. When they stumble into an invasion during a mission to Bird Planet, they become the only hope of this once peaceful world.
Team up in co-op (local and online) or switch between the different characters on-the-fly in solo play.
Fast-paced. Light-hearted. Vibrantly hand-drawn. Fight across treacherous marshlands, steep summits and picturesque settlements and meet an imaginative cast of friends and foes along the way. A unique touch is added to each playthrough by a degree of randomized level composition, enemy encounters, and upgrade drops.
Fire up captain Bowie’s combat simulator and plow through an endless alien assault to climb the online leaderboards! Use the strengths of all your characters to prevail, pick powerups between the waves, and repeat. The longer you stay alive, the more challenging it gets.
Play as four different characters, each representing their own playstyle, and tailor them with persistent Meteorite upgrades found throughout the game. Want a Healer who can deal some serious damage? Or a Striker with poisonous blades? Have at it!

A very unimpressive game. Feels more like a demo, or maybe a school project, than it does a finished game. The few and far between moments of hand drawn art are beautiful, but that's basically the only praise I can give. Having local co-op, I suppose, is another positive and I really do respect it, just a shame that the game itself isn't very good. Combat is unrewarding, boring, has no feeling to it at all. Compare to something punchy like Hades for example, and this combat is a joke. Entire game consists of being plopped into a area with enemies spawning mindlessly, you kill them and then walk to the next area. Rinse and repeat. Very disappointing game where after only 30 minutes I had zero interest in playing anymore, and after nearly an hour I had to delete it and never look back. disappointingly bad. Dont get this thinking anyone is playing online, not been able to find anyone in matchmaking, if you're lookimng for co-op be sure to have a premade group or you can play couch coop. Game itself both looks and feels clunky. The game aesthetics are really badly designed, its very difficult to tell background from players and enemies. Despite running at 500+ fps the scrolling and animation feels stuttery and seizure inducing as it chugs along. Combat is likewise sluggish and unrewarding, everything just feels floaty and "off" there is no weight behind the strikes and you never feel connected to the action. Pretty sure there has been zero playtesting with this title. Outside of the presentation its simply awful

* Playing through solo * It's a pretty simple hack and slash game but the characters are quite fun and the meteors that you pick up are cool, although I think you lose them when you jump out and restart. The characters are quite fun to switch between, and adding some more options in the future would be good. It took me a bit to get used to the combat, as swapping between felt a bit weird at first, but on my second session i had the hang of it and the combat become a lot more fun. Storyline is okayish, without being spectacular the it definitely look good.
Got three codes to play with friends online during a stream for review. Pros: - Amazing hand-drawn animations and character designs - Great music - Fantastic and fluent hack-and-slash experience Cons: - Online co-op connectivity issues with 2 or 3 people. - Does not work with Steam Remote-play either. - Does not react to game start during online co-op. I would love to see this game succeed because it is an incredible passion project for the small team. The game needs some polish, and the issues at hand need to be worked on. Regardless, I would recommend this game for solo play, but I wouldn't if you're looking for a co-op experience.
This is a great game! The art was beautiful and the story was super cute and fun. I would love to see this universe expand in the future! That said the multiplayer can be a big buggy but that can be fixed! Good job!
pretty fun but short
Go Fight Fantastic is such a cool game blending a refreshing hand drawn art style and pretty challenging combat. Visually everything about the game feels really polished and satisfying. The soundtrack is really good too, I never get tired of the battle music. My favorite part of the game is how unique each level feels, with new hazards, enemy types and a brand new environment. Even though the main playthrough is on the shorter side (especially if you figure out the ultimate combo setup and good powerups), it's really fun to replay, and re-visit the same levels on harder difficulties, to appreciate the art style all over again (and learn that your previous strategies weren't enough). The story is quirky and goofy, which is really fitting for the overall vibe. Ultimately it's not a game about the story, but about hacking through waves of enemies and looking cool. And it's fun to do so with friends too. I primarily played solo and couch co-op a bit. The shorter 15-20 min levels are really nice for a couch co-op session on the casual side. Overall I recommend the game, I really enjoyed it as a chill hack'n'slash!
Great couch co-op!
