I've played Glenwich since really early on, so here's why you shouldn't play RIGHT NOW. The moment the tutorial wants you to craft a wooden sword, it shoots itself in the foot. It directs you to go do this, but wait you don't have that recipe unlocked and the tutorial isn't telling you how to figure that out! Luckily, I played before, so I know how, experimenting in the Workshop. Unluckily, they absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ IT UP. Discover a recipe? It doesn't unlock for some reason. Craft a Wooden Blade? Nope, that's Item #337, so it isn't seen as a Wooden Blade in the crafting recipe for Wooden Sword. I haven't even talked about the crafting grid failing to register what recipe you even put into it. It will literally sit there and NOT UPDATE, this will lead new players into thinking that the combination they put is NOTHING when it IS SOMETHING. I still don't know how they can say it's "Fully Playable" and the goal is expanding "late-game content" when the early-game content doesnt even WORK. like 90% of the sprites/art are literally "TODO" and have been like that for i stg a year or so at this point. It has the ability to be a good game, I REALLY DO BELIEVE THAT, but it has genuinely gone nowhere. Make the game work, then add content.

There is a daily cap on XP per skill. Nothing kills my interest as fast as timegated progression.
may be an alpha but game is not in a stable play state. tutorial doesn't give correct directions, have to refresh every time you get or make an item for game to notice. and game crashed after i had to refresh 3 times in a row just to make the first sword which i learned how from chat, not game itself
"Too many character creation attempts please try again later" After my first character name was already taken. Unplayable game, waited 15 minutes to try again and got the same message.
Not playable atm, crash, tutorial not working, currency farm disappear Wait a few weeks or months for a potentially better experience.
The first time I try to enter my nickname, I get this error: “Too many character creation attempts. Please try again later.” I tried all three slots and even changed the nickname, but it’s still the same error. Typical browser-game trash.
Just more mobile trash, wake up and clean your store Valve !!!!
It really reminds me of Runescape (RS3) or better, OSRS (Old School Runescape of the 2000s which is its own thing now), but there's a lot of current technical issues at hand--like, I made an account to try it out as a guest ("Guest accounts are temporary. Set a password later to keep your progress, or accounts are deleted after 30 days of inactivity.") and not just 3 days in, I lose access to it ['Seraphine'] without any warning because somehow I'm not logged into it or something. No internal/in-game notification or mention of when any shift between being a guest or needing to register comes to mind if I had missed anything. Aside from that and minor server delays, there are QoL issues that aren't significantly addressed (crafting involves a Minecraft-like table, and things should SPECIFICALLY BE in specific placements, like to make metal bars [e.g. bronze, both 2x tin/copper should be arranged in only one way in the 3x3 grid: a 2x2 square, where copper should be 2 on the left and tin should be 2 on the right, and any other way makes it never resolve into anything]), which I'm curious if these have been tested for sustainable useability beforehand (especially since crafting itself takes a lot of clicking to find out the 'right' ways to form things; it's a great idea in theory, but the way it's handled currently isn't that well done). There's also lacking character customization present, which I'd hope would be in-game later on, and a lack of an easily discernible [this stat is tied to x action]; I didn't know farming was passive and you could do 3x of that; only by viewing weapons *that you can interact with* can you see if it trains attack/strength for melee, apparently "Dorn's Gloves" is the solution to their 60% mining rate (5+ seconds per piece) for lv1 ores (and nowhere is this even evident for the player), etc. Like, if this was a design to reward reading/acuity, this is not a good way to train it given the information of everything else about. It's a good work in itself for starting out, technical issues aside, but given these current issues it's not really something to get into for now, until addressed.
A rare gem that keeps on giving — even on a busy schedule. I've played a lot of MMOs over the years, and Glenwich stands out as one of the few that genuinely respects your time and rewards your dedication. From the moment you step into the world, there's a clear sense of direction — every quest completed, skill levelled, and piece of gear earned feels meaningful. The progression system is one of the best I've encountered: it's deep enough to keep veteran players hooked for hundreds of hours, yet approachable enough that newcomers never feel lost or overwhelmed. What makes Glenwich especially remarkable is that it's an idle MMO — and that changes everything. You don't need to carve out hours of your day to stay competitive or keep growing. A few deliberate actions each day are all it takes: set your tasks, make your moves, and let the world do the rest. Your character keeps progressing even when life gets in the way. For anyone with a job, a family, or just a packed schedule, this is a genuine game-changer. It's the MMO experience without the MMO guilt. What truly sets Glenwich apart is the development team behind it. These aren't developers who disappear after launch — they're actively listening. Bugs get squashed fast, balance changes are thoughtful, and new content drops regularly. You can tell the team actually plays the game themselves. There's a transparency and responsiveness here that's rare in this genre, and it builds real trust between the players and the people making it. And then there's the community — arguably Glenwich's greatest asset. Whether you're asking a basic question in chat or posting on discord, you'll get a helpful, genuine response within minutes. Veterans don't gatekeep knowledge here; they share tips, explain mechanics, and will even trade items or gear to help new players find their footing. It creates an atmosphere that feels more like a shared passion project than a competitive arena. A word of honesty Glenwich is still in active development, and it shows in places. You'll occasionally bump into rough edges — a mechanic that isn't fully fleshed out, a minor bug here and there, or a feature that feels like it's still finding its footing. That's worth knowing going in. But here's the thing: none of it matters enough to dampen the experience. When the progression is this rewarding, the community this warm, and the developers this committed to improving things, a few imperfections are easy to overlook. If anything, being part of a game that's still growing makes it more exciting — you're along for the journey, not just the destination. If you're looking for an MMO with real heart — one where the world keeps evolving, the people are genuinely welcoming, your progress always feels earned, and you can actually fit it into real life — Glenwich deserves a spot at the top of your list. It's the kind of game you come back to not out of habit, but because you actually want to.
