I love this game and I think you will to. The level design is top notch and the puzzles are challenging but fun.
I've read the comics since they were new and I was young. I only bought the game recently. It's lots of fun, very challenging puzzles... I had to look up hints to get past some of them. It's also very challenging to beat the boss fights. I'm still not sure where all the little side quest things are hidden, but it's such an aesthetically pleasing game I'll probably wander around and find them too, maybe with some hints...
I'm a big fan of the Girl Genius comic. This game is reasonably faithful to the world from the comic. Thematically, it feels like the castle in the story. As for this game, I have a mixed opinion. I use a pc with an xbox controller... You MUST remap your evade button to have half of a chance to successfully play the game. Until I did this, the 1st boss was impossible. After remapping, it became a reasonable platformer... for a while. The game has good puzzles followed by really difficult puzzles... i had to resort to discussion board hints to move forward a few times. It needs an occasional hint to the player otherwise you get stuck and bored. The propeller feature of the mini clank is also painful to use. There are minimal to zero clues as to where to fly next. Flying is an exercise in precision floating from vent to vent just missing so many, many times...it drains some of the enjoyment from the game. That said, if you've read the comic, the story and characters are fun. If you are new to GG... you'll be confused by the lore. Many issues of the comic are unlockables in game which is cool. I like the effort from the devs, but the difficulty is uneven. Read the comic, then enjoy this game. Buy on sale for now.

Combat is pretty simple, but the puzzles more than make up for it.
An alright puzzle adventure game, capable of occupying a few hours. Harkens back to older PS2 style of 3d platformer, reminded me of those harry potter games. I do quite recommend you read the webcomic though. Mind you, the plot of the game is a little hard to comprehend if you're not familiar with the universe.
Combat's fairly clunky, but I liked the puzzles and the world.
Good puzzles. and keeps the flavor of the comic
A great Metroidvania-style puzzle exploration game like the Batman: Arkham series. It's not a $60-80 AAA game, but it's well worth the price and it's fun, well-crafted, and made with heart. I backed it on Kickstarter because I love the Girl Genius world and I trusted the game devs, and they did not disappoint.
tricky but nice
I highly recommend this game if you are even slightly a fan of Girl Genius. It has the same humor and ingenuity of the original, the same excellent lore drops and background gags, wrapped up in a polygon package that makes me nostalgic for the playstation games of my childhood. It has enough changes to the storyline that it doesn't feel like a particularly interactive visual novel, but it might feel a bit rushed for someone unfamiliar with the comics. There are some excellent accessibility features (like the ability to skip that dingbot minigame, which is a relief if you're bad at timing puzzles like me), and plenty of collectibles/upgrades.
