Gilded Shadows

I didn't expect to like it so much! Normaly when I play otome game I don't really like all the characters. But here, I loved everyone that I've done so far and I'm shocked how much time I've spent replaying to have every endings! Seriously one of the best otome game genre I've played so far. Each story is quite unique per romance, GIVE IT A TRY !

One of the most detailed and creative Otome I've ever read. If you're even thinking about getting it, it is so worth it, 8 fully fleshed out routes and the romance is amazing, to say there is a lot of love interests, there is also a lot of depth and so many different branches and scenarios. Being able to design and change the personality of the MC is the cherry on top

Aber hallo .... was ein richtig, richtig gutes Otome, ich bin ja mal überrascht: - Man kann den eigenen Charakter etwas individualisieren, das mag ich ja immer sehr. - Die Story ist wirklich richtig, richtig toll gemacht bzw. die verschiedenen Stories. Stellenweise richtig tiefgründig und meiner Meinung nach sehr lebensnah und echt. Einfach nur toll! - Die Welt kommt enorm glaubwürdig daher - eine wirklich interessante und vielschichtige ScienceFiction Welt. - Die ganzen Charaktere wirken "echt" UND interessant. Sowohl die "sexy" möglichen Romanzen, wie auch alle anderen Beteiligten. Es gibt kein Verhalten, welches ich jetzt als komisch oder aufgesetzt empfunden hätte. - Man hat eine große Auswahl an vielen verschiedenen Romanzen Optionen (bzw. Männern), die sich MASSIV voneinander unterscheiden. Es gibt 3 verschiedene Möglichkeiten die jeweiligen Situationen (bzw. die Romanze mit den Burschen) zu "beenden": Von leidenschaftlich, über "süss", bis schlecht. Dabei ist das auswählen der Antworten meistens auch noch echt gut gelungen. Man muss nicht mal eine Komplettlösung bemühen um ein gutes oder leidenschaftliches Ende zu bekommen. Wermutstropfen: Das Ganze gibt es leider nur in Englisch und das ist nicht von schlechten Eltern, man sollte die Sprache einigermaßen beherrschen, Basic-Wissen reicht hier nicht aus. Und die Grafik war nicht wirklich 100 % mein Ding, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Ihr seht ja in der Vorschau wie es aussieht.

If you're into YA 'chosen one' type of adventure/romance novels, this is for you. Each Route takes a different path/storyline for the MC (so its not the same plot repeated) and each Interest is unique in their own way with interesting Lore and a deep, story rich world building. [spoiler] The only thing Im disappointed in is that it seems it never really got picked up by the fanfictions writers, I want to binge read more. :'( [/spoiler]

This may be a VN/otome, but the story and lore could fill a series of novels. The beginning has a common route for all romance options, but once they deviate, the stories are drastically different. You won't get bored seeing the same things from different points of view. Each ML has a different personality, things to love about them, and flaws which makes them all unique and fun to varying degrees. I personally didn't care for a couple of the routes, but not because they were lacking in any way, I just didn't care for the ML. All in all this is one of may favorite stories across all types of media. Definitely recommend.

I've played this game quite a bit. There were routes I didn't enjoy as much but overall I have always loved the story. Definitely worth the price for the amount of interesting content you get.

I've started playing this game last week and I can't stop, it is THAT GOOD. I love how each romance route is unique, each story is different and yet you learn a piece of the puzzle in each run. Plots left hanging or unknown in one route get answered or revealed in another. I love it so much! It has a few plottwists, crazy and beautiful areas. My first run was Caissa and I've since done 3 more. So far Caissa, Yuu and Caleb were my favourite! Working my way through Lance atm (and then I still have Ari, Rueben, Jack and Quill left.) The lore of this world is incredible and I want more! Is there a sequel? I want this world in rpg format! (Get my money game xD) Def buy this if you love a rich world with great romances. Now if you'll excuse me I need to continue playing!

I played a lot of visual novel with or without voice, but this game (Gilded Shadow) got me interesting with their visual style and story. so I really recommend to at least try it out once.

This game is lovely - I love the heroine because you can make her into whatever you want to but her core personality is so kind and helpful and humble and hardworking like one of those perfect Japanese otome heroines. I wish I had her kind of mental peace lol...I don't want to spoil anything but she is very intelligent and talented and beautiful. I like all the love interests they are fun, flirty, and handsome and by fun I mean not too aggressive but show some form of initiative. The art and music are amazing - I really like the music and the sprites are so easy on the eyes. This game has so many routes it's amazing and it is still being updated! I see myself playing this a lot. I was depressed after finishing Entropic Float: This World Will Decay which feels similar to this game but with more reality-based. For a fantasy world, it is rich and has deep lore. I don't know how tests could be hard if you have the entire internet in your head but man they must be really really hard. Anyway, Jack's route is really nice and sweet so far after 2 hours and the common route isn't too hard, good amount of save files, indications for which routes you are taking and spoiler alerts are good as well as the trait system. There are also achievements and the characters are pretty well developed although some are either extremely good or extremely bad so there are no real shades of grey here so far. It is an amazing game I had to work hard to find and it is a gem. Worth it at full price with some much content existing and more to be added.
