Abandoned
The game is dead, the last update was made over 2 years ago and I can see why. I bought it for $4 on sale, and beat the story in under 2 hours. I was also under the impression that the skill tree was something I'd be able to use throughout the game, but it only opens up for use after the campaign is over, which makes zero sense. The skill tree lets you use 5 points right away, and you can replay all of the missions with additional side objectives to complete that weren't there in the first run. So I replayed the first 2 missions and completed the side objectives hoping I'd get more points to spend on the skill tree. NOPE. You don't get to use the skill tree until after the game is over, I'm not sure how you get more skill points, and the story is short with the idea that they were going to add more later on I assume. I would do a pros and cons list, but I don't think it's even worth buying on discount for a short story, even though it seemed to be interesting. Sadly disappointed...
Really unique and fun premise, gameplay is fun overall. However some of the graphics are pretty dated for being a 2021 release game. The background assets look like something out of an early 2000's RTS game at times. The game is also pretty short, full completion of story mode, the bonus levels, and getting 100% achievements only took 3 hours of gameplay. Overall I enjoyed the game, but would only recommend on a deep discount, 70% or more.
This game has very interesting premises, but it's so poorly executed. The idea is nice, the dialogues can be funny and the voice acting generally good, but the gameplay is overly simplistic (go from A to B) and the difficult spikes gets soon ridiculous. In fact, you end up dying an indefinite number of times because each fight turns into a race against time: either you do what required or you will be killed by countless arrows coming from nowhere. I read the game has been abandoned, but I hope the developers will get back at it with better ideas and a revamp of the campaign, which is still quite basic so far. Additionally, the idea of using pictures in cutscenes may be good, but clearly it serves to hide the incapability or the laziness of the developers to create GOOD cutscenes, and it shows. The very first mission looks bugged to me, I started it and it finished automatically 2 seconds later, sending me to the next scenario. I ended up beating the second boss with the balista, but then I enter this very tight area with low hp and a huge number of soldiers: walking through them is guaranteed damage and I end up dying 100/100. Such a poor state, this game, and it sounds more like money grabbing than Early access. =\
Its unpolished, clunky and not rlly fun. You can finish whole game almost in minutes.
Abandonné par les dev ... ! Encore un de plus ....
