Very fun throwback platformer made in a gothic horror style of a Classicvania. It tries to be NES hard, and I guess there are some aspects to it that make the game a bit less than a cakewalk, but there is nothing crazy difficult in this game. There are sub weapons, like the dagger that is more like a boomerang and the double dagger that expends twice as many daggers for more damage. My favorite is the polearm! This item doesn't do much damage but it has very long range and it is used as the gimmick to scale walls and create platforms for puzzles. Some areas even allow you to jump out of bounds if you have enough polearms on you, which is often. The art style is nice and the music fits the theme. It's not a very long game; my playthrough was only about 3 and a half hours long, and the achievements are story related so they are unmissable. Dying in this game is basically without consequence. You simply restart back at the checkpoint if you still have lives on you, or at the beginning of the stage if you use one of the infinite continues. You gain money that you can use at shops to recover health or buy more sub weapons. Don't worry about saving money. You'll have more than enough and more to buy whatever you want. Some of the things I was not too crazy about are the default controls. The default keybinds on a controller take getting used to since jump on an Xbox controller is X, attack is B, and sub weapon is Y. There are also times where I feel like my inputs didn't register and consequently I would fall down a hole. Sadge. If you can ignore the jank, this is a very lovely game. I recommend it, especially considering how cheap it is. If you can get it on sale (which is what I did), that is even better! There is a platforming section that reminded me of the Hakuna Matata level in Lion King for the Genesis, so that was an awesome surprise. Looking forward to other games by this developer!
...it's actually pretty good. I would try it if I were you. <.<
muito palha
Looks great, although rough around the edges. Very similar in quality as Mahluk (the previous game by this developer). At some points it feels unfinished yet is not unplayable. Still a nice and short little game. Recommended on sale, totally worth it.
buen juego.
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/32044813 ----------
