A fun and fluffy metroidvania with plenty to discover! Among the graphical design of the scenery is a lot of texture in addition to chic backgrounds. In a similar vein the character designs are colourful and cute with a lot of character as one would expect from furry characters. There is some clear heart and effort that has been put into this game including but not limited to the graphics of it. The sound design is also well done albeit nothing that felt too out of the ordinary. It works quite well in establishing the atmosphere and is pleasant to listen to There are plenty of biomes and mechanics unique to each one making this a very solid metroidvania. Additionally over half of the abilities you get have both a use in platforming as well as in combat. The one thing I would like to change a bit is the map by giving it a bit more detail with for example markers for some additional quality of life, but that is about it. Bossfights are fun and require you to learn the pattern, which can be said for the regular enemies as well on a smaller scale. Overall the fights are balanced well so that you might need a few tries with the bosses or a particularly difficult room but it doesn’t become frustrating. Plus you save every time when entering a room, so there isn’t really a long walk back to a difficult spot. I played on the Hard difficulty which is decently challenging yet not overwhelmingly so, though if you prefer focusing on the exploration and story without having to mind combat so much I’d definitely recommend going with the Easy difficulty. Most of the story is in the collectibles, various descriptions and a big chunk towards the end. To not spoil anything it is nothing particularly new, but still very nicely executed. You do get some hints to it in the environment as well. The translation is serviceable, you can understand everything well enough however you never forget that it’s a translation either. Additionally there are a few lines that are not translated at all though those seem to be of no real relevance, so nothing is really lost there. As Doge is a good girl, so is this a good game for free, which I can certainly recommend as a solid metroidvania with good graphical design.

The right click that was introduced satisfies me, now I can just go around spamming! I like being USER DOGE. I got kissed and gained health, people in this world like that I'm USER DOGE! Really cute game, very fun game, enjoying the game! Makes me proud to be a gamer. Recommend this game!
