Gardener's Path

[b]A Beautiful, Delightful, and Brain-teasing experience.[/b] In [b]Gardener's Path[/b], you play as a Gardener descending into a series of underground plant-filled vents, which bring oxygen to the world above, in an attempt to re-harmonise the recently infested gardens. The gameplay follows a simple but enjoyable loop. On each level, you must carefully maneuver the gardens in a specific pattern in order to remove all the pests and safely make it to the exit. As you progress deeper into the gardens you come across a variety of different pests and obstacles, each with their own unique mechanics: Beetles which cannot be hit from the front, Snails which bounce backwards when hit, Centipedes which can only be defeated by hitting their specific weak spot, Cacti which defeat you when moved into, etc. The art, visuals, and story elements are all beautiful, and added a real sense of comfort to the game. I played the game in short sessions, over multiple nights, alongside my partner, and we both enjoyed talking each other through the various puzzles. All in all, it's a beautiful, short experience, with a delightful mixture of hand crafted levels and interesting mechanics.

Quick Description: -Gardener's Path is a mini puzzle game w/ snappy controls and a really slick visual style. This game kind of reminds me Red Ronin or Keen One Girl Army but unfortunately, I don't think is nearly as good as either. This game only costs $4, but there is actually some pretty steep competition at this price point. There are 60 total puzzles and most players will clear everything in 2-3 hrs. I decided to call it quits at the 56th level. While this game doesn't have any major issues, it has quite a few small problems that really hurt my overall gaming experience. Consensus: -Bottom Shelf Gaming (Tier 5 and makes up 10% of my reviews). There is no undo button, the keybindings only offer 3 options and all 3 feel a bit odd for a game like this (It never tells you on screen what buttons do which based on your key settings). The game looks really slick but it feels like it chose style over functionality, which I think was a mistake. Even when I turned the sound effects way down, they still felt incredibly jarring every time I died. Keen One Girl Army, Logic Light, Upaon a Snakes Journey, Lyne, and Gravifire are all games that range from $2-$5, and offer either better value or feel more polished. For those reasons, I can't recommend this game.

tinha comprado esse jogo faz uns meses e tava mofando na biblioteca até que decidi dar uma chance pra ele. Não sei pq não joguei isso antes sinceramente. O jogo é bonito e os puzzles te fazem pensar legal, fora as musicas que são muito boas também. Tu zera rapidinho, eu demorei mais pq sou burro pra jogo assim.

Gardener's Path is a puzzle game with really clever challenges. It has excellent pixel art and an amazing soundtrack! I had already played it on consoles and couldn’t miss the chance to play it on Steam. Highly recommended! Gardener's Path é um jogo de puzzle com desafios bem inteligentes. Is any of this ground breaking? No. But it's a pleasant, diverting collection of 60 one-screen puzzles, it has a very cozy atmosphere, it has a soundtrack that punches way above its weight. The one negative review talks about the game having an unskippable opening and that's been fixed. For $3, it's an easy recommend for me if you enjoy puzzle games.

A beautiful, gorgeous game! The puzzles feel just amazing to solve, and with a great frequecy new stuff is added. So sad is not longer, but still a great and valuable experience. Play it!
