Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 20 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Thank you to the developers for allowing me to play the game early. When I first got my key, there were a few bugs, but they were fixed straight away. I'm really glad they were resolved so quickly. This is the type of game I've been looking forward to for a long time. It brings older-generation technology to life in a video game. I even spent two days trying to figure out what the credit card device was, and then I saw the developer post explaining it. I was like, "Carbon copy? What are they talking about?" With that said, I rate this game 10/10. I can't wait to see what the developers have planned for it in the future!
So far I am digging it, especially as guy who was born in the very early 80s. It bring a sense of nostalgia that's very satisfying. I have not encountered any bugs yet in my play time but have not made it out of year one yet. I noticed someone mentioning that play progression feels slow and I would agree if it wasn't in my mind that this is supposed to emulate how consoles and games actually released back then. One shouldn't expect instant gratification. All in all I can't wait to play more and see where I can take my store. I will update if my opinion changes but for now - If you like retro gaming, business sims and or a mix of both....this game IS for you. Just don't expect to get anywhere if you don't put in the time or effort.

A team of two Developers created a game where you run a gaming shop starting from the beginning of video game existence and as you progress through the days more games and consoles release, if you like that idea alone then you will get your money's worth from this game. Ignore the "AI Slop" comments, at 13$ I will easily get 13 hours of game time here. Fine, add the 5GB storage space, 18 hours is still reasonable. Playable offline, mods supported, your unable to hire staff (at the moment) but I personally wouldn't hire them, the gameplay loop of cleaning, handing out flyers, managing your money for new products/top sellers and running the cash register perfectly is enough bait for me to bite. Gameplay starts slow which is reasonable, once more consoles and games release and are in stock you will find yourself rushing around in between transactions slapping flyers in people's faces down the street drawing in every single breathing homosapien that dares step foot on YOUR street, they rejected the first flyer? BAM, take another.
There is potential here, I may return periodically and hopefully be pleasantly surprised. Things move just a little slow, which isn't always bad but I think here it moves just a little TOO SLOW. I've played a ton of what is essentially the same game reskinned to a different niche and there isn't a lot here to set it apart from others like it besides the focus on early gaming history that is missed with other console shop games I have played. I think with the retro aesthetic, your main target here is nostalgiamaxxing. You should go all in on the UI feeling of the time period it is meant to represent. More tactile stuff, when swiping the credit card it rather than just pressing space let me slide it. The AI music, should just be a placeholder because it is not good however I like the idea for ambiance. Maybe incorporate a way to drop youtube links or easily load music into the game. Likewise a CRT we could toss youtube game trailers on or whatever period materials. I see mod tools are there so I do hope to see someone put that together if the team doesn't. I cannot recommend the game right now unless you really want to support but it just is missing something for me. It's fine if you haven't played a bunch of shop sims but if you have you're not really gonna feel like you are getting anything new. I do appreciate the direction and I hope you keep things going I will be keeping an eye on things. Good work so far just needs a little work for me personally.
What surprised me the most is how well this game works for kids. It is fun, but it also teaches them that running a store requires responsibility: you need to stay organized, set the right prices, keep the place clean, and pay attention when customers complain. The best part is that it never feels like a lesson. You learn naturally while playing and begin to understand that good results come from taking care of the small details. It is entertaining, educational, and, in its own way, teaches some valuable lessons for real life. Definitely recommended, especially for playing with children.
This was a bit of fun as I remember this stuff from the late 80s early 90s, this is early access but there are some things I immediately noticed: *Ultrawide works, but the tab menu and shopping menu are bugged; *Doors are annoying and keep auto closing, like when bringing stock into the shop; *Maybe shoppers have a little to little patience. So far enjoying the nostalgia, and looking forward to more updates. **Edited to say this this is not listed as Early Access, but it feels like it should be.
Was super hyped for this game when I spotted it in my recommended games. After playing it for a while, I can say it is a bit rough, but has a lot of protentional. Progression seems to be the main complaint, but I understand it as following a more natural progression akin to the timeline of video games and console releases. My only complaint would be the crazy amount of dead space between the early morning when you open and the very end of the shift when you about to close. Even with the mascot, I had a few shifts where I would juts be standing at the register getting maybe one customer per hour. Also, the bonuses you get from leveling are nice, but I feel like it would make more sense as a daily buff roulette. At a certain point, it'll feel like leveling with take a few days and going without some buffs might make it harder to get further along with the business. At least with a daily buff, it might give the player more oppertunity to prioritize certain buffs over others.
I love the game brings back my childhood. I look forward to updates and mod support.
hopefully it gets to where you can have older consoles and newer consoles. like a ps5 and what not maybe pc's too
