Slime Girl Wants to be Friends with Humans + is a short game with about 11 endings, cute art and there is not to much to say about it but would recommend~
Nice visual novel. A bit enerving, but at least it has a good ending (among lots of bad ones).
Developed by 空想の工房 and published by Waku Waku Games, ▼スライム娘は人間と友達になりたいようだ+ is a charming fantasy visual novel that blends innocence, curiosity, and emotional storytelling into a memorable adventure. At its center is Aura, a young slime girl who has spent her life hidden within a peaceful forest. Fascinated by stories and brief glimpses of humans passing through the outside world, she begins to dream of leaving her sheltered home behind and forming friendships with people she has never truly met. What starts as a simple quest for companionship gradually develops into a branching narrative filled with wonder, difficult choices, and unexpected consequences. The game immediately stands out because of its protagonist. Aura is portrayed as optimistic, trusting, and eager to understand a world that is completely unfamiliar to her. Rather than focusing on grand battles or heroic destinies, the story emphasizes personal growth and emotional experiences. Every decision influences how Aura responds to the people and situations she encounters, giving players a direct role in shaping her future. This creates a strong sense of investment because the outcomes feel tied to her development rather than to arbitrary gameplay mechanics. One of the most appealing elements of the experience is the contrast between its presentation and its themes. The artwork embraces a colorful fairy-tale aesthetic filled with cute character designs and inviting environments. At first glance, the game appears to be a lighthearted fantasy about friendship and exploration. However, beneath that cheerful exterior lies a story willing to explore darker emotions and more serious topics. Encounters that seem harmless can lead to tense situations, heartbreaking moments, or unsettling revelations, giving the narrative greater depth than its appearance initially suggests. Gameplay follows the traditional visual novel format, focusing on reading, decision-making, and exploring multiple narrative paths. The mechanics are simple, but they effectively support the storytelling. Choices feel meaningful because they directly influence Aura’s relationships, experiences, and ultimate fate. The presence of numerous endings encourages replayability, rewarding players who want to see every possible outcome and understand the full scope of the story. Each route reveals different aspects of the world and highlights the consequences of Aura’s trusting nature. The Steam release enhances the original game with additional content that expands both the story and the overall package. Extra routes provide new perspectives on key events, while side stories offer additional context for characters and the setting. Added illustrations and expanded scenes further enrich the experience, making this version feel more complete and polished. These additions are particularly valuable for players who enjoy exploring every narrative branch and uncovering hidden details. The writing succeeds because it balances warmth and tension without losing sight of its central themes. Friendship, trust, loneliness, and the fear of the unknown are explored through Aura’s interactions with the world around her. Some story paths are uplifting and hopeful, while others reveal the dangers of naivety and misplaced trust. This variety keeps the narrative engaging and ensures that player choices carry genuine emotional weight. Although the game is not especially long, its compact structure works to its advantage. The pacing remains focused, avoiding unnecessary filler while delivering enough content to make each route feel meaningful. Players searching for complex gameplay systems may find the experience limited, but those interested in narrative-driven adventures will likely appreciate the emphasis on storytelling and character development. The shorter runtime also makes replaying different paths far less intimidating than in many larger visual novels. Overall, ▼スライム娘は人間と友達になりたいようだ+ is a heartfelt and surprisingly emotional visual novel that successfully combines a cute fantasy premise with meaningful player choice and darker narrative undertones. Its lovable protagonist, multiple endings, attractive presentation, and expanded content make it an engaging experience for fans of story-focused games. While its gameplay remains simple, the emotional impact of Aura’s journey and the variety of possible outcomes help it leave a lasting impression long after the final ending has been reached.
