Gallic Wars: Prologue is not a game. It's an advertisement/demo for Gallic Wars, which is a mobile app tier "RTS" wannabe tower/soldier defense game. It's a common mistake when unfamiliar with Steam to launch demos/advertisements as full games on Steam instead of tagging them correctly as demos. Here's the instructions for putting a demo up on Steam, to demonstrate that there is a correct process for this, which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos The game this is advertising is a sad dead end. It's like a cartoony version of Age of Empires that's massively dumbed down for a mobile app audience that doesn't exist, mistakenly aimed at PC gamers who have a million better options. While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers, but at the end of the day, I can only recommend full, correctly published games to gamers. Because this is just a demo, and because of the other problems with it, I can't recommend it.
Before I played Gallic Wars: Battle Simulator Prologue, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
I was able to run Prologue. But I could not complete tutorial. The game stops on unit selection step.
Pretty decent concept. I think I would enjoy a fully developed version of this. I'd love to see more than 3 units (cavalry being an obvious 4th), and I definitely prefer the implementation of traps (like the gut bomb) over spells (like the fireball), as it puts more emphasis on having a strong plan, which I think is this game's strong point. I recommend giving this prologue a try, as it's only 15-25 minutes of your time to determine whether you'd be interesting in this game, and it's enjoyable enough, if not a little too easy.
impossible de poser les troupes...
