一応親指を立てておくけど、と言う位かねw(思い出補正も含めて・・・)。
Real cute version of DOJ. Liked it a lot
I got to play DoDonPachi DaiOuJou in english with a fan patch and I bought it legally supporting the creators for a fair and affordable price. Best version of DoDonPachi DaiOuJou.
Very good port of a pretty decent mobile port. Could've wished for the actual DoDonPachi DaiOuJou, but what is here will suffice for now.
close enough. i was expecting it to be more on par with the DOJ iOS port, but at least I can finally play DOJ on a PC (without emulating).
i really like this, and its easier than the original, why not
Don’t let anyone tell you we don’t have Dodonpachi DaiOuJou on Steam. On the one hand, it’s really funny that this exists. On the other it’s really cool that these games have been preserved, quirky and niche as they might be. As for the game itself, it seems pretty good if you take it for what it is. I want to compare it to the GG games from the Aleste series, but I don’t think it quite reaches their heights. Overall though, I think I really like this? It’s CAVE stripped down to its barest elements, and it shows that the formula still works even in this simplified form and is a hell of a lot of fun. Movement seems snappy enough, but the attacks have a mushy feel to them with pretty substantial delay that you’ll need to plan for. Switching from full auto to laser can frankly be a pain in the ass—normally I’ll hold full auto and press the laser/lockshot/slow movement button when I want to do that, but if I try that here it just doesn’t read the second input. I’m sure that was a limitation of the phones this was played on, so can’t really complain here. The audio is predictably a bit simple, with fairly minimal music and explosions that sound like someone practicing eighth notes on a snare drum. But you can’t ask for a whole hell of a lot from an old Nokia phone, and what it manages to pack in here is functional enough. The port itself seems really well done. The presentation is pretty basic, but it gives you options for a phone-screen frame or an expanded picture (I prefer the latter), as well as a filter that smooths the pixels or leaves them bare (the former looks better imo). There are multiple resolution options, up to 1080p. And best of all, they have leaderboards! I was a bit worried when I didn’t see steam leaderboards in the features, but they just clearly have their own system instead. This is far from an essential shmup, but for a couple bucks it’s really cool that we can enjoy these odd little ports from yesteryear.
