Учитывая нишу, ожидания были специфическими, но то, что выдала команда разработчиков в «Furry Shades of Gay», не выдерживает никакой критики даже на фоне самых дешевых инди-визуальных новелл. Это не игра, это какой-то недоразумительный кэш-грейб (cash-grab), собранный на коленке, видимо, за пару выходных. Сюжет и сценарий: дно, которое продолжает копать Начнем со сценария. Сюжет здесь отсутствует как класс. Если авторы пытались сделать пародию или хотя бы легкую комедию, то у них это провалилось с треском. Шутки плоские, диалоги неестественные, а персонажи — это просто набор картонных стереотипов без капли глубины, мотивации или развития. Само название «Furry Shades of Gay» звучит как отчаянная попытка хайпануть, но внутри нет ни капли того шарма, самоиронии или хотя бы базовой логики, которые могли бы это оправдать. Читая текст, складывается ощущение, что его писал нейросеть без нормальных промптов, либо человек, который впервые в жизни держал в руках книгу. Визуал и звук: глаза и уши кровоточат Визуальная часть — это отдельный вид искусства, но искусства плохого. Спрайты персонажей выглядят так, будто их рисовали в спешке, постоянно забывая про анатомию, пропорции и хотя бы базовую стилистику. Фоны вызывают вопросы: они либо скомпонованы из бесплатных ассетов с интернета, либо нарисованы с такой кривой перспективой, что от них начинает кружиться голова. Анимаций минимум, иногда персонажи просто «скользят» по экрану, а не ходят. Звуковое сопровождение — это три зацикленных трека низкого качества, которые начинают сводить с ума уже на втором часе. Озвучки нет, и слава богу, потому что при таком тексте любые голоса только усугубили бы кринж. Геймплей и механики: их здесь нет Геймплей? Какой еще геймплей? Это даже не кинетическая новелла, это просто набор текста, который иногда прерывается «выборами». И самое обидное, что эти выборы абсолютно иллюзорны. Вы можете выбрать вариант А или вариант Б, но сюжет все равно придет в одну и ту же точку. Интерфейс сломан: текст наезжает на рамки, кнопки не всегда срабатывают с первого клика, а система сохранений работает через раз, заставляя начинать заново при каждом вылете. Техническая часть и жадность разработчиков Отдельное «спасибо» хочется сказать за техническое состояние. Игра вылетает на ровном месте, а текст иногда отображается кракозябрами. Но что еще хуже — это чудовищная жадность создателей. Базовая версия игры обрывается на самом начале, а чтобы увидеть нормальную концовку, дополнительные арты или хотя бы нормальные фоны, вас отправляют на Patreon или заставляют покупать DLC. Выпускать настолько сырой, недоделанный и короткий продукт за полную цену (или с агрессивным донатом) — это просто наглость. Итог «Furry Shades of Gay» — это позор для своей ниши. В сообществе хватает потрясающих, глубоких и качественно сделанных проектов, которые делаются фанатами с огромной любовью и трудом. Но этот титул — просто мусор на обочине, который дискредитирует работу других разработчиков. Не тратьте свои деньги, нервы и время. Лучше перечитайте любую хорошую книгу, посмотрите фильм или поиграйте в что-то с нормальным геймплеем, чем мучить себя этим унылым набором кривых пикселей и плохого текста. I dunno what to think. After playing three stories I can attest that the game itself, like how it works and plays and looks and sounds? Pretty good. The writing? Two of the three scenarios are charming, endearing, and hot. The third one, beginning as it does with the sexual assault of our protagonist by his roommate, is none of those things. The butt-grab? Don't love that, but as dubcon goes it's no big. Everything that comes after, though, is explicitly nonconsensual. If there'd been some kind of content warning, I might still have bought the title and at least been forewarned. But there isn't one, so I got blindsided. I'm not going to continue playing this game. Hopefully it's still within the refund window.

Although the actual animated scenes is still just tweening, there is a lot more buildup and vareity in scenes compared to Amorous. The gameplay itself is nothing special, but it is something.
