Funeral

It's not a horror game; there is nothing scary in it. Pros: • It runs smoothly on my Steam Deck with a steady 60 fps. It's well-optimized. Cons: • It's full of cheap "GIF" jump scares, even though they won't scare you; they are in the game. • There are no puzzles to solve. I can't name an activity "find two pieces of paper" a puzzle. • There's no atmosphere, no story; there's nothing except walking and finding some objects. • It's short; I beat it in 30 minutes.

Funeral is a major step up from Undiscovered House, but falls sadly pretty short on runtime. The game looks pretty good, you can tell this is all handcrafted and doesnt consist of asset store packages. The intro was nice and the voice acting is alright. I liked a bunch of the jumpscares. Puzzles were easy to complete. Sysreb games come also with a very convenient and fast way to switch out batteries on the flashlight. Its a small but very satisfying implementation. The last location was kinda strange, it seems that screenshot flew right by me, because I did not expect a volcano(?) level. Felt out of place but wasnt bad. This review falls somewhat short, apologies, but theres just nothing I can really complain about here lol, so great job. Its a perfectly okay game, nothing outstanding, but nothing bad. Where yes the gameplay is basic and the story is simple, there is nothing wrong with that. If you are a fan of horror you will enjoy this game.

This is a short indie horror game that took me about 45 minutes to complete. The game wasn't that scary at all but I did enjoy playing. I liked solving simple puzzles to advance and exploring the different environments. I did run into a bug with the fuses though and had to reload back in and try again for it to work. Thankfully the game saved after loading from the elevator so I didn't have to restart the whole game. The story was a little confusing for me; you kind of have to piece it together yourself. But I did enjoy playing this game even if it didn't really scare me much at all. There was a lot of jump scare moments but there wasn't much tension therefore the game wasn't as scary as I think it wanted to be. But fun little game to experience in my opinion. è un buon gioco, semplice e divertente! Non molto spaventoso e a tratti non molto intuitivo, però garantisce circa 40/50 minuti di gioco e una piacevole esperienza videoludica.

im on an indie horror game binge and this one is the best so far, i was having trouble understanding the story at first but without much words, when you finish the game it all comes together. definitely recommend. plot twist was worth the entire playthrough. 10/10 (about an hour long game)

Not worth playing unfortunately. I appreciate this is an early project from a developer but it's not worth your time. Couple of jumpscares that aren't very effective. There's some aspects that show promise, like the moment in a bathroom which I won't spoil. I'd like to see more of that type of horror. But ultimately it's not very scary. And there was some wasted effort put into the wrong things. Like a flashlight battery replacement mechanism even though you have loads of batteries and you'll only need to change the battery twice. Not that it's very good flashlight. Nor do you even need it often as most places are well enough lit. Avoid.
