Well, it could be more visually polished. It's hard to tell what is enemy or device or item. And I guess items are pre-made (not randomized except colors), which is somewhat disappointing. Still I had quite fun and unique experience.
nice little game. I would love if the developer adds a way to continue a run later. All the good runs were lost due to RL interruptions.
It''s a fun game, if not a bit confusing, but since it is a rougelike, not having everything spelled out for you suits the genre better.
Fun reasonably priced game. Drone building is pretty neat. The flavor text on all items is amusing enough too.
It's a really fun roguelike, and lately been one of my favorite "I just want to play a run and see what cool items I get" games lately; the itemization is excellent and reminds me of Diablo 1 in the best possible way (comparing it to another proper roguelike might make more sense but for this I always think Diablo 1 for some reason); you're dropped off in a central dungeon that branches off into a few different dungeons (randomized each run, from a few options) and basically just carve your way through the awful labyrinth collecting drone parts, gadgets, gear, bells, bullets, till you either get squashed or win. There's a gear mechanic that you can assign abilities to (such as gain a critical hit, regenerate, shield, have a robot drone attack, etc) and instead of actively using it, it rotates every turn and automatically activates the corresponding assigned ability -- works very intuitively and it's fun to slowly build your cog each run; aesthetically I don't really like or care for steampunk, but there's a lot of polish and love put into the art design of this game; the character interactions are cute, the animations and particles give the game some umph, the sound design is alright, and the DEATH screen is super cool; I don't think the game is still being worked on, but if you pass-by this and are considering it: consider it! It's a really excellent package.
this game is captivating AF it's so interesting and the mechanics are so cool. I really like this game a shame that I waited for it to go on sale before buying it. I am enjoying every bit of it :) There are some bugs but hey it's just 1 buck i really don't mind.
The game is quite fun. There is a ton of depth to the game especially with the combat system based on gears and drones. After 3 hours of playtime myself i discovered a ton of stuff and there is still plenty more to discover. Furthermore the replayability is huge and the game is definitely worth the money. A must have for any seasoned roguelike player.
Actually pretty good traditional roguelike with some interesting mechanics. It has both Traditional and Modern roguelike (basically roguelite) options for any taste. If you prefer more classical or forgiving approach for the game (with or without metaprogression, and for the record, I prefer traditional one). There is some jokes in the game. They are not bad. The music is simple, yet I don't want to disable it. It's catchy, so that a +. This game is not as hard as some more old traditional roguelikes, so a newbie probably will be fine there. Did I mentioned Modern roguelike mode? Yep, I think so. And seeing the constant updates from the developer, I believe this game will become only better with time. So yeah, definetely check this game out if you need something fresh and new from roguelikes field.
a creative roguelike with interesting mechanics. a fine dungeon crawler that feels similar to Nethack Codex
I really like the game! its really simple to operate, but can get as complex as you want with the drones. My biggest wish is that you could save mid run. Right now i can only play this if i know i have an hour or two to go through a run or two. The inability to save makes me not want to play when i have limited time.
