In Fuego, you and an opponent create a tangled Mexican standoff one animal-bandito at a time. And when everyone’s got their mark, the bullets fly. You shoot a bank, you get the gold. You shoot a bandito, you steal the gold. Just make sure that when the dust settles, your gang walks away with the bigger haul.

Target Audience: Puzzle Gamers With Friends Summary: A solid puzzle experience that does a great job of walking the thin line between leaving a player helpless in attempting to figure out the next challenge, while not being overly helpful where it ruins the experience. I find the core game's puzzle challenges intriguing, as the different mechanics with priority of gunman and using them in off the wall ways a good mind exercise. Sadly, the amount of puzzles that are present could be improved in the end, but those that are there will make you feel like a boss when you do figure out what they have to offer. The game's a bit rough around the edges with certain annoyances, like the full screen controls and rotation, but the main draw here is the speed strategy that the multiplayer offers. A great decision of forcing a timer on that gameplay to force the matches to be quick and decisive, and the simple gameplay and quick to pick up/hard to master gameplay overlooks a set of rules that may be simple on the surface, but has a layer of strategy underneath it's outer shell. The combination of this mode plus the aforementioned puzzle mode creates a combo worth your 10 dollars if you're a puzzle fan, and want something to challenge a friend with in a battle of wits. Gameplay Footage and Video Review: https://youtu.be/lcfAHA4vTaw Lists: Positives:

Core puzzle mechanics are solid. Will make you really think about placement of your guys and using them in a unconventional way.
Multiplayer aspect hits the speed strategy market rather well. Forcing quick decisions in a nature similar to speed chess for example.
Core MP game design is surprisingly interesting. The priority system plus the distance factors added into the game makes a game that looks simple on the surface actually very complicated in its execution.
Smart implementation of a “hint” system. The opening text of the level gives you a clue if you really think about it, and does a great job in not being overly helpful, but still useful at the same time.
Love the character portraits. Gives a Mexican/Navajo/South Western flavor to it that works.
Negatives:

The controls on full screen get in a way at times when pulling out and rotating the character, due to it allowing you to go outside the windows bounds, and losing control at that point. Makes rotation towards the edge of the screen a little annoying.
More core puzzles. I think it's the strength of the game in the end, and 60 puzzles, while keeping up the challenge, only goes so far.
I think in the long run, more mechanics can help the game to stay around. Don't get me wrong: the core gameplay will keep the fun up, but I do wonder how long it will last over a period of time.
Would like to have seen some parameters to matches in terms of characters/situations, or points to win. Really addictive and fun to play. It needs more modes and a little more more depth in gameplay. Online is kinda "dead" so far, but as soon as the game attract the attention of some more people it can really take off. 8/10
This is not the game you're looking for. It has less to zero learning, so you haven't got a clue of what is actually going on right now. Visual style is great, though. Gameplay is not. 4/10.
Das ist schon sehr stilsicher und gekonnt. a quick and wonderful game that plays kind of like a combination of neuroshima hex and frozen synapse, all in the span of about a minute. It's a very engaging loop, with some great aesthetics as well. Try it!
Radiostatic's Fuego clearly comes from a real love for spaghetti westerns, with beautiful art and music and a wonderful sense of humor. This is a game with personality, and the variety of game modes offer a lot of bang for your buck. But most importantly, it's a lot of fun. The main component of Fuego is online 1-on-1 Mexican stand-offs. Simply put, they're great. The fast-paced matches discourage the analysis paralysis characteristic of many strategy games while still challenging you to get inside your opponent's head and anticipate their next move. The map and bandits are randomized with each round, keeping things fresh and varied, and watching the shootout unfold is always entertaining, even when you're losing. I helped test the game during development, and even in the early stages it was a lot of fun. Since then, Fuego has only gotten more polished and refined. In addition to the online multiplayer, Fuego includes an AI mode, allowing you to practice offline against a computer opponent. It's useful for perfecting your bank shots in a low-stakes setting, but for the record, the AI is no slouch! They've whooped me more than I'd care to admit. Most surprising to me is the puzzle mode. I wasn't expecting too much here, as the multiplayer is clearly the main attraction, but this ended up being my favorite mode of play. The puzzles offer a humorous assortment of goals, from the classic "get all the gold," to the noble "save the chickens!" Thoughtful and occasionally quite clever, the puzzles deftly introduce the mechanics and strategies you'll need to excel in competitive play in a refreshing change of pace from the 1-on-1 standoffs. I might even dare suggest the game is worth it for the puzzles alone.
(TL;DR↓) First off, this game has been on my wishlist for quite a while, and I finally picked it up on sale, for 49¢. I would have gladly payed full price for Fuego! and I'll break down why. For starters, I wasn't expecting much more than a simple, casual strategy game, but it is a pretty decent experience so far. It's multiplayer, cross-platform multiplayer even, it has a puzzle based campaign, it's got A.I. for quick play games, the art style is nicely done, the soundtrack fits well, the game runs a steady fps count, and it generally plays well. All of those are major upsides, especially coming from indie developers. But, it's also a game that doesn't require a low ping to play online! That's right, you heard correctly! This was one of the major selling points for me personally, and I only found out once I started playing. Since this game is so simple, you can play this game online anywhere, and games that can be played online by people in rural areas are few and far between, which is great for someone like me who doesn't live in the city full time. Fuego! is a simple, sweet, casual strategy game that you and a friend can both enjoy together for a few bucks. I look foward to this game gaining popularity and growing as a whole. It has the potential to be a bigger multiplayer game; if Fuego! had the option for matches with a bigger player count, that could make it more replayable too.. The more friends that can play, the more fun there is! I finally beat all of the puzzles for Fuego! and I even created a guide to help out players who get stuck. The puzzle mode was at times very challenging, and at others fairly simple. It did take some time to beat, but it felt very rewarding to complete puzzle mode. I definitely recommend trying puzzle mode without the guide, though, unless you absolutely need to. Overall, I'd say it was a great purchase. It's inexpensive, it's entertaining, it's.. well, you've read the review.... It's Fuego! TL;DR: >got Fuego! on sale >enjoyed playing with a friend >made a review >updated review as I progressed Pros: +a fun casual game +multiplayer +cross-platform multiplayer +can be played online with ping out the wazoo +plenty of puzzle based strategy +has a.i. for solo quick play +nice art style/art in general +decent soundtrack +trading cards +achievements +cheap +quick matches +decent difficulty +entertaining Cons: -could have option for 2v2 or more -online community is dead -forums are dead -dev's don't seem very active -gets a bit repetative -only one resolution option? -underplayed/rated* >in it's current state, even though finished, I'd probably give this game around a 7/10 rating >I myself consider it worth the sale price, hands down >I wouldn't have minded paying sticker price after my experience with Fuego!
(Обзор на русском тут: > тыц <) Puzzle/tactics about robbing bank by animals-banditos. • Puzzle and versus mode. • Each bandito has one or several guns. You need to place them in the right spot and rotate to rob banks. • In puzzle, rob all banks. 60 different levels. • In versus, get more money. AI or online (but online is dead). + Number of guns is turn priority. That system allows making chain robbing. + Meat shields from chickens and ricochet churches will help or interfere you. + Avoid bullets of enemy banditos – better use them to make dirty work for you. + Atmospheric art and music. = It's hard to get some achievements. Sometimes AI behave itself very strange. – No settings for versus AI mode: you always start first and have just several seconds per turn.
Fuego!
