A good first go, promising. good voice acting and some neat ideas, just needs some more polish.
Yeah, the game is free and it looks good, but it's not scary, turned out to be annoying and frustrating
A good short game to play whenever you are in the mood for some good ole analog survival horror. May I mention that it is 100% free ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ – )

https://youtu.be/Rd0SuQLCFMo I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It was a little buggy and was rough in some spots but overall I think it's worth trying out. Plus it's free so you have nothing to lose. If you want to see some game play you can check out my play through above.
Why create games that look amazing but place no FPS or Graphics etting???? I tell developers all the time and I just posted this all to another game, you limit your players due to over quality or FPS when we have no controls.... I have an NVIDIA 1060 6GB and Frostbitten is topping out and overloading my GPU! You can eliminate these kind of issues when creating games by giving FPS controls to the players. While I really want to play this game I do not see the point at this time, unless you have a high ended RIG and or don't care about overloading your GPU. However, If and when a update appears I will reconsider playing. Till then don't waste your time! NOT Blockhead APPROVED!!! Banger horror game 11/10 really well done
This was a neat little game. I was enticed by the beginning and there were moments (in the beginning) that genuinely scared me but I would say as the game went on it sort of had an identity crisis and wasn't sure what it wanted to be. I'm sure if this game was fully fleshed out, elongated and realised (and not free to play) I feel like a compelling story could be told here. It was neat, I enjoyed it. It just felt a little goofy at times. I would love to see a fully developed horror game from these devs at some point though. They have the potential.
"Frostbitten" is a student project that's been dumped on Steam outside of Early Access (where it belongs), but is definitely in an unpolished and incomplete state. We must question what value it has for gamers for incomplete student projects like this being dumped on Steam... they're not valuable for gamers. And indie devs have to compete with all this pollution. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 8 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
monster just one those if u look at it it doesnt move mechanics thats in so many unity games and no option to change that sensitivity which is set to extreme
The main issue with the game right now is the Frostwalker itself. Some of the issues relating to it may be due to bugs, others seem intentional. In any case, these points need to be addressed:

The Frostwalker only freezes when looking DIRECTLY at it, not to mention that there seems to be a limited range to your vision. I think if it’s on your screen, it should be frozen, similar to how they handled SCP-173 in SCP: Containment Breach.
It completely ignores snowpiles, despite the game saying that it will go out of its way to destroy them, resulting in half of shovel mode becoming completely redundant and evasion of the creature increasing in difficulty.
It can teleport even when the player is looking at it as long as the player is close enough to one of the teleportation points.
The Frostwalker sounds play from a random direction, making it impossible to pinpoint its location.

Other issues unrelated to the Frostwalker include:

Inventory items are useless.
There are no options for camera sensitivity.
The watchtower level is too dark, visually-speaking.
Mechanics for picking up and moving objects are a pain in the ass.

A final note is that the crawling creatures feel unnecessary. They seem like they were added to pad for time and give the flashlight some extra use when they really don’t need to exist and just pull focus away from the Frostwalker itself. I give this game a positive rating as it is apparently still in beta as a student project. If this were not the case, it would be a negative rating.
