Fun game that ties action RPG and tower defense elements. Surprising amounts of soul. Helpful and reactive devs.

Frontier Paladin has made a great first impression. The game looks beautiful, with colorful environments and a really nice overall vibe. The music is excellent, and the player movement and combos feel crisp and responsive. Combat has a satisfying sense of weight, making everything feel polished and fun. I haven't played enough yet for a full review, but so far I'm really enjoying it and will update this review after spending more time with the game.

Explore, build, defend, and fight, I loved it thoroughly. The tower defense gameplay is great, and I really appreciated how it avoids unnecessary complexity in building or resource collection. The onboarding is simple and smooth. Animations and effects are decent, and the lore adds an interesting layer of depth. There’s still room for improvement in upcoming patches. When the player is on low HP, there’s no music or SFX to reflect the tension, which makes those moments feel less impactful. The save system could be better, being unable to recover until the next save point is frustrating. I also experienced two crashes during heavy combat. The bosses could be a bit more challenging, though the core tower defense mechanics are top-notch. My rating would be 9/10. I also noticed the note on the main menu, an interesting way to share the devs’ perspective. It really shows how much effort they’ve put into the game over time.

Fans of Diablo will enjoy this game. Has a creative wave defense mechanic that is fun. Visuals are really nice, audio design good too. Would recommend!

手柄适配不行，不能用手柄选择技能树，安放陷阱也很别扭。 我不知道陷阱有什么用。路障挡不住敌人，敌人会绕过去；铁蒺藜是一次性的，没啥伤害；火坑有冷却，伤害也超低。而且我玩了快一个小时，没几处地方用到了陷阱，陷阱根本没什么存在感。
