From Space is the kind of cooperative shooter that immediately understands the importance of fun over complexity. Rather than focusing on realism or heavy storytelling, the game embraces colorful chaos and nonstop action, placing players in the middle of a world invaded by bizarre pink aliens that spread destruction across cities and towns. Its arcade-style structure gives the experience an energetic pace from the very beginning, creating a game that feels easy to pick up while still offering enough intensity to keep firefights entertaining for hours. The combination of top-down shooting mechanics, cooperative gameplay, and exaggerated sci-fi weaponry allows the game to carve out its own identity among modern multiplayer shooters. The game’s biggest strength is undoubtedly its cooperative design. Everything about the experience feels built around teamwork, whether players are reviving one another during overwhelming enemy assaults or coordinating weapons and abilities to survive massive alien swarms. Missions become far more exciting when played with friends because the battlefield constantly erupts into frantic chaos filled with explosions, gunfire, and charging enemies. The game creates an enjoyable sense of momentum where every encounter feels unpredictable enough to remain engaging without becoming overly punishing. Even though the overall concept is straightforward, the multiplayer aspect gives the game a strong social appeal that makes it easy to return to for casual gaming sessions. Combat is fast, responsive, and satisfying in the way classic arcade shooters often are. The large collection of weapons gives players multiple ways to approach encounters, from spraying bullets into crowds with heavy machine guns to burning enemies with flamethrowers or controlling space using explosives. Each weapon feels designed to emphasize spectacle and destruction rather than tactical realism, which fits perfectly with the game’s lighthearted tone. The alien enemies themselves are aggressive and numerous, forcing players to constantly stay mobile while managing ammunition and positioning. The pace rarely slows down, helping the game maintain excitement throughout most missions. Character classes also add welcome variety to the experience. Each class offers different abilities and playstyles, encouraging players to experiment with team composition instead of relying on a single strategy. Some characters specialize in support roles, while others excel at crowd control or direct damage output. These differences may not completely transform the gameplay, but they provide enough flexibility to keep cooperative matches from feeling repetitive too quickly. Unlockable perks and upgrades further strengthen progression by rewarding continued play with new abilities and stronger equipment. Visually, From Space benefits greatly from its stylized presentation. The bright environments, exaggerated enemy designs, and colorful effects create a playful atmosphere that separates the game from darker and more serious shooters. The pink alien invasion theme is surprisingly memorable because it fully commits to its absurdity rather than trying to appear grounded or realistic. Explosions, particle effects, and environmental destruction all contribute to the game’s lively aesthetic, making even chaotic firefights visually easy to follow despite the sheer number of enemies on-screen. One of the game’s more appealing qualities is its accessibility. The controls are simple, the objectives are easy to understand, and the overall structure avoids unnecessary complications. This makes the game approachable for players who may not usually enjoy more demanding cooperative shooters. At the same time, the increasing enemy pressure and mission difficulty still provide enough challenge to keep experienced players engaged. The balance between accessibility and action is one of the reasons the game works so well as a casual multiplayer experience. However, the game does struggle with repetition over longer sessions. While the core combat remains entertaining, many missions follow similar patterns involving defending locations, escorting objectives, or clearing waves of enemies. The gameplay loop is enjoyable, but it does not evolve dramatically as the campaign progresses. Enemy variety also starts to feel somewhat limited after extended play, causing certain encounters to blend together. Players looking for highly varied mission structures or deep strategic systems may eventually feel that the game has exhausted its ideas. The single-player mode is another weaker aspect of the experience. Although technically playable alone, the game clearly shines brightest in multiplayer. Without teammates, the action loses much of its chaotic energy and cooperative excitement. Certain missions can also feel more frustrating solo because the game is balanced around shared responsibilities and group coordination. As a result, players who primarily prefer solo experiences may not enjoy the game nearly as much as those who regularly play with friends. Despite these shortcomings, From Space succeeds because it never loses sight of its identity. It is not trying to reinvent the cooperative shooter genre or deliver a deeply emotional narrative. Instead, it focuses entirely on providing entertaining, colorful, and accessible alien-blasting action that works best when shared with others. The game embraces its arcade roots confidently, creating a fast-paced experience filled with explosions, absurd enemies, and satisfying teamwork. For players searching for a cooperative shooter that values fun, accessibility, and nonstop action over realism or complexity, From Space delivers an enjoyable experience with plenty of charm. Its vibrant art style, energetic combat, and multiplayer-focused design make it a solid choice for groups looking to spend time battling alien hordes together. While the repetitive mission structure and limited long-term replay value prevent it from becoming a standout masterpiece, the game still offers enough excitement and personality to remain highly entertaining for fans of arcade-style cooperative shooters.
From Space würde von mir 5/5 Sternen erhalten. From Space bietet alleine im Base-Game 9 Klassen.
Multiplayer connection keeps failing even though my internet is perfectly fine.
I played this on the xbox game pass with a friend, finished it all the way through and you can't carry your progress over. I love this game but I really wanted more to do when the games over. It's a great game but not worth full price. Would recommend on a discount with a friend, don't think it'd be good on its own.
Super underrated game. Really good for coop with friends, highly recommend. Story mode with friends and horde is super fun, you wont be disappointed.
a real helldivers 1 killer you can play alone, in coop or you can also play campain, alone with public lobby, and random people will join you,m and help and when you finishcampain, you can playdlc, or just quick join to other people underrated gem
