Freddi Fish 5 featuring Mess Hall Mania®: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove

The last of the true Freddi Fish games...I think it takes the series out on a good note. It's certainly not the classic that the first one is, and I might still think the others are overall better games. Still, this one has its charm and place in the series. It is a little funny how this listing makes such a big deal about the "Mess Hall Mania®" minigame in it, though. I mean, it is basically just Freddi Fish and Luther's Battleship...but I digress... I recommend picking this one up on sale in the Freddi Fish Complete Pack or even the Humongous Entertainment Complete Pack.

Всё такая же интересная и приятная глазу, какой я её помню из детства, когда затирал эту игру до дыр. Из всей серии эта выглядит и анимирована лучше всех остальных, что, в принципе, не удивительно, ведь это уже пятая игра серии. Персонажи по сравнению с остальными частями немногим более выразительные, но это больше благодаря тому факту, что русская озвучка стала лучшей во всей серии. Длительность не стала выше чем раньше, но увлекательность вполне. Локации игры стали понятнее и уютнее, атмосфернее. Музыка так же поднялась на уровень, из всей серии она стала самым выразительным набором саундтреков, которые отлично задают настроение на каждой локации. Интерактива стало меньше, но качество его возросло, ведь теперь вместо всяких "3 в ряд" или "Стреляй из ракушки по пузырькам" добавился морской бой, что не надоедает так же быстро, как всё остальное. Детективная линия сюжета теперь полностью отсутствует, но это даже к лучшему, ведь раньше он толком и не работал как надо. В общем и целом, отличное завершение серии игр, что вобрало в себя почти всё лучшее из своих предшественников. 8/10.

In quest'ultimo titolo della serie di avventure grafiche per bambini. La pesciolina Freddi e il suo amico Luther devono investigare su un caso di un mostro marino che infesta il luna park coral cove. Il gioco, per la prima volta, inserisce lo scrolling orizzontale nella città principale. Invece il resto del gioco continua a essere a schermate fisse. I puzzle da affrontare cambiano ad ogni partita e al contrario dei capitoli precedenti, in questo non ci sono cattivi diversi è sempre lo stesso. Peccato che, come i precedenti titoli escluso il 4, anche questo è in inglese, e della sua perdita di frame enorme con obs aperto e lo scummvm ricevuto con il gioco. Tutto diverso con l'ultima versione di scummvm. Peccato che ad una animazione opzionale dentro la schermata, dove inserire il codice per aprire la porta alla pesciolina. Lo scummvm moderno da errore di crash, cosa che non fa quello del 2019. Perciò, non bisogna attivare la terza animazione specifica. Per finire, questi titoli servono per far divertire un bambino alle avventure grafiche e magari ci prende gusto e ne gioca altre un pò più complesse. Se invece, volete un gioco di azione, qui non c'e nulla da vedere a parte il mini gioco opzionale della battaglia navale.

It may be nostalgia speaking, but I do think Freddi Fish 5 is a great game to play, even if it got some downgrades from Freddi Fish 3 and 4. It has arguably more interesting story/premise then 3 and 4. As for gameplay, it's mostly on par with 3rd and 4th game, but seems to have slightly less item randomisation, and worst of all, they removed the best feature introduce in 3rd and 4th game that I desperately wish more p&c adventure games had, especially with detective type of gameplay: different culprits each playthrough. So yes, once you play the game, you sadly might not enjoy it as much as replaying 3rd or , 4th game. Also it's a small upside, but I like how the mini game of 5th game is the battleship game you can find near drill sergeant. It's one of the best mini games in all Humongous games Tbh. Overall, I recommend playing it, if you liked 3rd and 4th game in Freddi Fish series, if you didn't, or don't feel the need to play another game, you can skip it.

i think this is the least memorable of the franchise, though it still has that freddi charm and nostalgia.

These are excellent games for teaching my great grand children how to play and observe and solve games.
