Awesome Retro feel. almost plays like Berzerk or most top down shooters of the 80's era. Great stuff. go ahead and pick this one up if you want a simple screen to screen shooter to pass the time with some old school graphics and sounds. Get it!

8/10 Addicting game play with simplistic controles make for a really solid game. It’s too easy to lose hours to this game. A must have for any steam library.
Frantic Dimension, developed by Hijong Park and published by PsychoFlux Entertainment, is a fast-paced twin-stick shooter that fully commits to the principles of classic arcade design, delivering an experience built around speed, precision, and relentless pressure. It places players inside a hostile, maze-like structure filled with aggressive enemies and constant threats, where survival depends on maintaining control in situations that quickly spiral into chaos. From the very beginning, the game makes its expectations clear—there is no room for hesitation, and success is earned through sharp reflexes and sustained focus. The core gameplay is centered on dual-stick controls, allowing players to move freely while firing in any direction. This setup creates a fluid combat system that feels responsive and immediate, but also demands coordination, especially as enemy numbers increase. Each level is made up of interconnected rooms that must be navigated while collecting items and searching for an exit, blending elements of exploration with intense combat encounters. Enemies attack from multiple directions, often forcing players to make split-second decisions about positioning, targeting, and movement, all while trying to avoid becoming overwhelmed. What gives the game its identity is the constant sense of escalation. While the mechanics themselves are simple—move, shoot, survive—the pace at which situations intensify creates a challenging and engaging loop. Players must learn to read enemy behavior, anticipate threats, and adapt quickly to new conditions within each room. The experience becomes less about reacting to individual enemies and more about managing the overall flow of combat, maintaining awareness of everything happening on screen at once. This creates a rhythm that feels both chaotic and controlled, rewarding players who can stay composed under pressure. Difficulty plays a central role in shaping the experience. The game offers little in the way of gradual onboarding, instead expecting players to learn through repeated attempts and gradual improvement. Mistakes are often punished immediately, and progress requires a combination of memorization, timing, and adaptability. For players who enjoy demanding, skill-based gameplay, this can be highly satisfying, as each success feels like a genuine accomplishment. However, the intensity and unforgiving nature of the challenge may be off-putting for those who prefer a more forgiving or guided experience. Visually, Frantic Dimension adopts a clean and minimalistic style that prioritizes clarity. The environments are composed of simple geometric layouts, making it easy to track enemies and navigate even during the most chaotic moments. Effects such as explosions and enemy animations add just enough visual feedback to keep combat engaging without overwhelming the player. This design choice aligns well with the game’s focus on gameplay, ensuring that nothing distracts from the fast-paced action. The structure of the game is built around replayability, with a strong emphasis on score-chasing and performance improvement. Each run presents an opportunity to refine strategies, collect more resources, and survive longer, encouraging players to return and push their limits. Leaderboards and scoring systems reinforce this loop, adding a competitive element that extends the game’s lifespan. However, the core mechanics remain largely unchanged throughout, which means that long-term engagement depends on how much players enjoy mastering the existing systems rather than discovering new ones. Despite its strengths, the game’s focused design also results in a lack of variety. There are few additional mechanics or modes introduced to expand the experience, and the absence of a narrative or progression system makes it feel more like a pure arcade challenge than a fully developed game world. This can make extended play sessions feel repetitive, particularly for players who prefer evolving gameplay or a stronger sense of progression. Ultimately, Frantic Dimension succeeds as a tightly designed and highly energetic arcade shooter that delivers exactly what it promises. It offers a challenging and rewarding experience for players who enjoy mastering fast-paced, skill-driven gameplay, and its simplicity allows it to remain accessible while still demanding precision. While its limited scope and repetition may restrict its appeal, it stands as a strong example of how classic arcade mechanics can still provide compelling and engaging gameplay when executed with focus and clarity. Rating: 7/10
Though the PsychoFlux bundle I purchased has had a pretty bad track record, I'm happy to say this one pleasantly surprised me. I am not good at it, so I had to get help from my brother, but this game is actually fun and definitely well worth its small price tag. The trailer gives you a pretty good idea of what the game is like, and that's all there really is to it. 6.5/10, not stellar, but worth an hour or three.

This game is good play it
