I would love to post a positive review, because the subject is interesting, the art style is cute, the puzzle ideas fun, but the physics ruin it over and over. Some have said the dialog stretches on, true, but it can be played around, so it doesn't really bother me. What does ruin it for me is getting hung up on layered object boundaries that I just got a bit too close to. I restarted the second area at least 6 times due to getting hung in a falling animation between, for example, a lamp and a couch. Unfortunately, though I really learned my way through the puzzles at play in this area, I still struggled to complete them due to the invisible pitfalls in the object placement. I REALLY want to love this game, but I just can't recommend it.

From stranger to the crippling realization, this story is one that hits home for many. Having to deal with this reality is something a lot of people face, but this game showed that pain beautifully, and I honestly felt so happy to have both found and been able to play it. Though short, it is memorable, and I think its a good recommendation for any short play through. Between the title and the carefully weaving dialogue, the long history of the forgetmenots are remembered by those they leave behind, us.
Some mild annoyances with the platforming and I completely missed seeing that there was a key you needed on a bookshelf, but it still tells a story that will resonate with most people. Even more so on a second play-through when you realize who the two parties talking in the background are.
This free mini-puzzle/adventure game is visually attractive (a 3D minimalist young girl in a clever "cardboard-cutout theatre-set" world), with gentle music and very good voice-overs; even though I didn't understand the actual language, the rhythm and interplay of the adult actors really suited the atmosphere of the game. The player guides the heroine to act out the childhood memories being told in the voice-overs. But, in spite of all appearances, this is bitter-sweet rather than cosy, as there is a much sadder and serious overarching story here. I thought that the game did really well in representing how we sometimes yearn for (and perhaps idealise) the apparently simpler and happier times of our youth when we face the harder realities of our adult lives - my congratulations to the developers for the emotional power of the game. There are some technical issues, though. Twice I had a crucial item fall irretrievably through a scenery wall, requiring a restart. I also found it very difficult to control the movement of the heroine, particularly when jumping in 3D space when the viewpoint is fixed. This especially made getting the "Party Animal" achievement very frustrating (until
I gave up trying to jump from the table to the fridge, and instead used the bucket on the cupboard worktop to get to the fridge from the other side; I still found the final leap to the almost hidden light shelf very difficult though
). It also took me a long time (no pun intended...) to understand the mechanics and sequencing of the second part of the game, which I feel was more my failing rather than the game's (I should have used the "R" hint key earlier on).
