More Like Sexual Arts..
Forbidden Dojo is an intriguing entry into the world of adult visual novels. This immersive experience takes players on a journey of magic, martial arts, and seductive encounters, promising a unique blend of storytelling and intimacy. In this review, we'll explore the game's storyline, gameplay mechanics, visuals, and audio, and weigh its pros and cons, all while considering the insights of other players.
About This Game

Storyline
Forbidden Dojo's story is a compelling mix of the mystical and the erotic. You play as the protagonist, whose life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious stranger transports you to a world of enchantment and martial arts. Akiko, the dojo's mesmerizing owner, introduces you to this captivating realm. The plot revolves around your choices, which significantly impact the narrative's direction. Will you embrace the allure of darkness or stand against evil to protect what's dear to you? The game's story has garnered mixed reviews. Some praise its descriptive and well-written script, highlighting its immersive qualities. However, others find it heavy on text and light on visuals, suggesting it sometimes leans more towards a text adventure than a visual novel. Nevertheless, I appreciate the character development and unique relationships portrayed in the game. With multiple endings and player choices, Forbidden Dojo offers an engaging narrative that encourages replayability.
Gameplay Mechanics
Forbidden Dojo's gameplay revolves around decision-making. With approximately 45 choices to make, we can shape the story and the character's relationships. Choices often lead to explicit scenes, such as hand or foot-related encounters, which some players appreciate for its unique take on adult content. The game offers five different endings, adding replay value and encouraging us to explore various story branches. English localization is well-executed, ensuring that the text doesn't disrupt the immersion.
Early Access Thoughts
While it was in early access, the game was deemed complete by some players due to its rapid content updates. It's important to note that the developer plans a price increase upon exiting early access, making it a good time to grab the game for interested gamers.
Visuals and Audios
Forbidden Dojo boasts detailed character models and settings. However, I find it odd that there are only five character models, all of whom are Asian. The lack of background characters is also noted. This focus on a limited number of models might affect players' immersion. In terms of audio, the game adheres to standard VN settings, allowing us to adjust text speed, skip previously seen content, and view unlocked scenes in the gallery. While it doesn't break new ground in this regard, it's functional and familiar.
Pros and Cons

Pros

Engaging and well-written storyline.
Unique blend of martial arts and adult themes.
Meaningful character development and relationships.
Multiple endings for replayability.
Good English localization.
Frequent content updates.

Cons

Heavy on text with limited visuals.
Only five character models, all of Asian descent. Could add a bit more diversity.
Lack of background characters.
Some explicit scenes could benefit from more animations.

Conclusion
Forbidden Dojo offers an enticing blend of martial arts, magic, and adult themes within an immersive visual novel experience. Its well-crafted narrative, multiple endings, and character development contribute to its appeal. While I find its heavy reliance on text and limited visuals a drawback, we can try to appreciate its unique take on explicit content. With the promise of future updates and an impending price increase upon exiting early access, so it would have been an ideal time to embark on this seductive adventure in Forbidden Dojo before it left early access. Rating: 8/10 I might now be into women who are martial artists.
4/10 wait for a Sale
Takes a bit over an hour to click through this linear thing. Reward is nothing-special renders. World is empty. Not a terrible game, but there are infinitely better AVNs on offer here.
The game is okay, graphics are fine and the story is alright BUT it is horribly short, completed in under an hour so not worth the money at all
I wish Steam had a third rating option between thumbs up and thumbs down, such as "OK" or something mostly conveying neutrality. I'm giving it a thumbs up because it's fine, nothing wrong with it, I suppose. Not the best renders in the world, but far from the worst. There is an actual story, as well as multiple endings, so that's something, though the pathways are pretty obvious and not too involved. The completionists out there might want to grab this on sale, if you want another "Perfect Game" in your tally. Simple fun if you have an afternoon to whittle away.
a good Visual Novel game. can recommend it. lots of answer options. couple of sex scenes. everything is uncensored, what do you want more. the price of this game is in offer for -55% good.
Apparently, you are some sort of chosen one. You get sent to a fantastical world, where you need to train in the martial arts to fight the Dark One. Choose well, and you could end up with one of three beauties. Or maybe two of them. Decent.

It's okay. An average visual novel experience.
If Steam had an "okay" button instead of just recommended or not, it would be my choice for this game. It's fine, really not much to complain about to be honest. But it's also lacking something. Story is alright but your choices just have too little impact. The H-scenes are nice, though nothing to brag home about. The occasionally bad English sentences don't help either (and I'm not a native English speaker, so...yeah).
