About

Pablo’s relationship fell into a routine. Trying to create new experiences, Alex, his boyfriend, decided to go for the first time to a Sex Shop: the Big Butt. It could be a normal daily life if he hadn’t disappeared.
Desperate, Pablo started to search for him and when he entered the Big Butt, the Gay Sutra, a big purple book caught his eyes. When he looked at that naughty book, Pablo’s got a surprise.
The boy in the book looks exactly like his boyfriend! Before Pablo could have any reaction, Lady Mustache, an unusual type of fairy showed up and explained everything. Mofir, an evil villain of the Sexual Land, was kidnapping beautiful boys from the Earth to choose his next husband. Will Pablo be able to rescue his boyfriend? Can he survive in a world full of horny monsters? Which surprises will the Gay Sutra have in store for him?

no game saves.... password lvl system and annoying bosses. poor voice acting but the game has potential
No geral? Vale MUITO a pena!
I tried this with two different controllers, and the play control with both of them was awful. (The voice acting for the main character was also terrible, and there was no way to not have to listen to it without muting the whole game.)
Premise This review reflects my personal experience with the game. While I aim to write thoughtfully and as fairly as possible, my reviews are subjective in nature and should not be used as objective metrics to assess/critique a game. I enjoyed this platformer way more than Baracop, despite this being released 5 years earlier! Writing & Story — ★★★☆☆ The premise is ridiculous, and I mean that as a compliment. You play as Alex, trying to rescue his boyfriend after he ends up trapped inside the so-called “Gay Sutra.” That setup tells you almost everything you need to know; this is not a game asking to be taken with great seriousness. It is throwing you into something silly, playful and knowingly over-the-top, then asking whether you are willing to go along with it. I did. There is not much story beyond that central rescue. Still, I would be lying if I said I did not want a little more. Even a few extra scenes between levels, or something that gave Alex and his boyfriend a bit more personality, would have made the whole thing stick harder with the audience, Representation & Tone — ★★★★☆ This is where the game won me over, because the Boyfriend Rescue knows exactly how absurd it is, and it never backs away from that. The humour sits in the enemy designs, the boss concepts, the names, the overall presentation. Everything you do seems to appeal to a specific gay stereotype! At the same time, I think the game could have pushed further. The bosses leave an impression while you are fighting them, but once the fight is over, the game moves on quickly. I kept thinking how much more memorable those moments would have been with an extra reward scene, a CG, or even a short follow-up that marked what you had just cleared. Gameplay — ★★★★☆ This is still a platformer first. You are jumping, timing landings, dealing with hazards, and learning how far the game expects you to push each section before it lets up. Some levels are straightforward, others ask a bit more of you, especially when they tighten up the spacing or throw enemies into places that punish hesitation. The bosses help a lot. They break up the rhythm of the stages and stop the game from becoming one long run of jumps and retries. I appreciated that. Without them, the game would have felt much smaller. There is also a password system, which helps more than it sounds. In a game like this, where some sections can take a few tries, being able to return without starting over makes a difference. Art & Direction — ★★★★☆ The visual identity is strong. Everything is exaggerated, playful and easy to read. The character designs are a big part of its personality. They are bold, a little ridiculous and very much in line with the tone of the game. I still come back to the same thought, though: the boss fights deserved more visual payoff after the fact. The designs are memorable enough that you want the game to do a little more with them once the fight is done. Do I recommend it? — ★★★★☆ Yes. Not because it is polished to perfection and not because it has some deeply moving story hidden underneath it. I recommend it because it has character, and because it is trying to do something that is still rare on Steam. There are not many M/M platformers. There are even fewer that are willing to be this playful, this silly, and this open about what they are. That alone gave me a reason to care. It also helps that the game is fun. Messy in places, yes. A little more writing and a little more reward around the bosses would have helped a lot. Tags: BL • Platformer • Action • Boss fights • Campy • Explicit
ATTENTION! THIS GAME IS PRETTY HARD FOR NO REASON, BE CAREFUL.
🎮 Gameplay & Genre This is a cheeky little platformer with RPG-lite elements and pixel graphics. You play a lovesick hero on a quest to rescue his boyfriend trapped in the Gay Sutra. The controls are simple, though a few tight platforming sections may challenge players not used to retro-style jumps. The core gameplay is straightforward, but it adds variety with different magical costumes that give you new abilities. It’s not long or particularly difficult, but it’s fun. 🔥 M/M Content True to Male Doll Games’ style, the erotic scenes are bold and unapologetically gay. There’s a good number of full-quality CGs, and while they’re not the most polished out there, they’re sexy and suit the game’s vibe. The premise is gloriously camp, and the game fully leans into its own raunchy absurdity—costume powers, ♥♥♥♥-riding (literally) puns, and all. 🎨 Visuals & Style The pixel graphics are charming and very old-school, though they may not be everyone’s taste. The CGs are much more detailed and offer the real visual reward. It's colorful, queer, and occasionally ridiculous—in a good way. 🗣️ Tone & Writing The story is light but surprisingly coherent. It doesn’t take itself seriously (which is part of the charm), but there’s still enough structure to keep you engaged. The humor is campy and full of double entendres, which might be too much for some—but if you’re here for sex-positive, queer nonsense, it delivers. 👍 Best Thing One of the most complete and cohesive Male Doll Games out there—actual storyline, working achievements, and a fun mix of action and smut. 👎 Worst Thing Some rough edges in the CG art and a few overly precise platforming bits that might frustrate casual players. The humor and tone also won’t be for everyone. ⭐ Final Verdict Boyfriend’s Rescue is an endearingly lewd, lighthearted gay platformer that knows exactly what it is and has fun being it. With its saucy costumes, silly puns, and earnest attempt at story, it stands out as one of the most polished entries from Male Doll Games—especially for a niche developer. Pick it up if you like pixel art, low-stakes action, and unapologetically gay adventures. This game is super gay. Take a risk and just buy it.
You get to ride a massive dic- sorry I meant Yochinko as a horse… BEST GAME EVER
[strike] THEIR BALLS WADDLE AS THEY MOVE! [/strike] Summary: you are sent into this magical world where you have to save your boyfriend from the big bad lonely villain, defeating ~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~ monsters along your way. (you regain HP by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ them), there are 2 monsters you can ♥♥♥♥ each stage, and each have 2 h-scenes. It’s short, hot, sweet, and over before you know it.
Positives:
- Art direction is really well done, the maps are unique - The scenes are hot, weirdly enough, I prefer the pixel graphics over the CG Scenes you can buy ~my fav is the
z for the pirate~, didn't expect to see MC as a power bottom, didn't not understand what's happening in X tho
- The demon mini boss ost, is really freaking good - Losing clothes to indicate HP for bosses, is a system more games should adopt - Very forgiving with plenty of check points. - I love Love LOVE The magical boy, outfit gimmick, the closest thing to a magical boy game, we’d ever get. - No need to grind for coins, the ones you get from the level would be more than enough to get everything in the shop. -
I’m ready to risk it all for the demons in the last level

Things I wish were in the game:
- Being able to ♥♥♥♥ the bosses, LIKE COME ON! You made them hot for a reason T^T [strike] (and mini bosses… pretty please with a cherry on top) [/strike] - H-scenes for the mini obstacles. ( mimic chest, octopus, etc) - More things you can buy from the shop, perhaps recolors of our outfits, maybe alternate looks for the outfit. Especially if you took the previous two recommendation into consideration Wink Wink Nudge Nudge - Special H-scenes for every costume with previous “enemies”’ it will add incentive to go back to previous levels to try them out~
Negatives:
- Final boss OST, is too short and repetitive, doesn’t loop properly - The game story is lacking, the scenes are hot, but where’s the foreplay, the banter, the personality of our protagonist, something. - I love this magical boy idea. I would say most of the costumes could use some work, Sexy ≠ Naked. - Hmmm, how do I say this without sounding pervy… The protagonist normal Voice acting, is… serviceable, but he does a good job during the H-scenes. - We went in this whole journey to find our boyfriend…and we don’t even get… a single H-scene with him…Ima be honest, I want Mofir ^-^ - I am most critical of the things I love, so please don’t take this as malicious intent. I will say this as a general Male doll thing I’ve noticed in my experience, playing their games. The games are visually appealing, the pixel graphics are always well done, and hot. But gameplay, and story, usually are a slog you have to go through to get to the good stuff. If you struggled in finding Mofir’s secret room, [strike] After the demon mini boss go left, that’s it. [/strike]
Fun little game! Sure there're NSFW stuff in it but to be honest even if there were not there, I would have had fun nonetheless. Of course there're so part that needs more polishing but still. Short game like less then 2 hours for doing the game and having all the achievements (kinda wish it was longer though).
plenty of jank, some admittedly amateurish art at times, and very... endearing(?) voice acting, but overall i've played much worse indie platformers that weren't even eroge games. the ingame pixel art sex is well animated and reminiscent of the old days of mugen porn, the core gameplay is solid, and the levels are competently put together. hope to see more from the devs in the future!
