Too many bugs...
For What Will Come:Reimagined.

This game has a very liner story, it was tricky to follow at first but after a little bit i figured it out! i enjoyed the outcome of the story very much, it intrigued me to keep going and never slowed down as i figured each puzzle out to get to the next section of the game. the subtle Easter eggs were very enjoyable to hear as well. If you have a few hours to sit down relax and play through the story i highly recommend playing this game!
I had a great time playing this walking simulator game. I give it a thumbs up although there are a few things I do not appreciate about the game. The story is quite dark and the ending could be triggering to some. I also spotted Occult references in the game (sadly, nowadays they seem to put that in every game, even those who do appear innocent). The game does have bug(s), the biggest one is where you're able to skip parts of the story line unknowlingly, which result in a buggy ending of the game. The second playthrough went without any problems. Achievements do pop up late so achievement hunters do not panic when it doesn't seem to unlock right away. This game has a lot of potential. The graphics are very nice. Been pressing the F12 button like there is no tomorrow. I can tell the developer really put a lot of effort into details. Kudos for that. Despite the minor issues I have with the game, I would still recommend it if you are a walking simulator fanatic like me.
For What Will Come brings a strong little showing to the table with an intriguing story having a slow burn feel before the tension rises rapidly. Overall, a worthwhile distraction for several hours. The developer has been extremely engaging and proactive with bug fixers and improvements. Each update has seen long strides in quality and even story elements.
Unfortunately Broken
A stilted delivery spoils this walking sim. Every clue is rather oblique and often when the narrated clues play, they not only lack continuity, but they don't play a second time for you. The game suffers from not having triggers that actually lead you and point you in any direction, much like the furniture and items in the game that lie around a bit randomly. And as usual a bit too much walking aimlessly.
Beautiful but buggy
I could not get an FOV setting that actually worked well for me and did not make my gut roll, I managed to roughly complete the game, but a few bugs frustrate. It is pretty, the story is interesting, but it leaps about far too weirdly to make any kind of mind picture about what is going on. There are some interesting visuals, and you can see how the game was really a huge amount of work to put together. Especially for a solo developer working hard with Unity engine in a few interesting ways to make the story show different environments.
Character development lacking
You get introduced to a few characters, but you never see what they look like, nor have them described to you at all. So the game fails to create any kind of vignettes or anything using things like photos on walls or albums, to make the characters even remotely concrete and real. You get some clues as to what they do, but no felling of who they are. The game gives one far too much guessing work throughout. The solo developer sadly lost their source artwork, so are unable to fix the bugs and unless they totally re-make the game in a different way, the interesting ideas their game hints at, will be locked away forever. Walking simulators are supposed to take you through a story while walking through it. Instead, this game relies on written notes, meaning that the the graphics are just fluff and you might as we have a VN. Graphics are pretty, but settings jump around and don't stay applied. Also, there are several bugs, both graphical and story wise that prevent / mess up immersion and even progress.
I loved this! The environment was beautiful - everything was vibrant and realistic. The lighting was great! I'm a huge baby that hates being in the dark in games so I usually turn my brightness up, but I ended up turned my brightness down significantly lower than I would normally set it to just so I could experience how gorgeous the sky and lighting in the game. I'm also a sucker for water in games and the water was gorgeous but that's just my own preference. I really enjoyed following the story line and trying to figure out what's going on every time I'd pick up a note or enter a new area. Finding new information about the characters through documents, family notes, and Abby's dialogue while noticing subtle, unsettling moments as you move throughout the area really held my interest. Also, I'd just like to say that Fitzy is an amazing dev! Exceptionally helpful whenever I (and any other player) found a bug, had a question, or didn't know what to do. Bugs would be fixed and updates would be pushed out pretty much as soon as possible. The dedication to not only the game, but also to helping the players has been incredibly impressive.
More walking than story, and more questions than answers. Beautiful atmosphere, sure , but without real payoff, it feels like emotional breadcrumbing with no sandwich at the end.
