About

Lead nomadic families through the Stone Age in this turn-based 4X strategy game with deeply simulated characters, cultures, and ecosystems. Explore the vast wilderness, gather and trade scarce resources, and stand your ground in risky autobattler combat. Discover fire, domestication, politics—and survive to tell the tale.
Experience what prehistoric life was like by diving into this exploration of ecology, paleolithic societies, and the origins of culture.

Before agriculture and settlements, we spent hundreds of thousands of years as nomadic hunter-gatherers. Guide your people as you migrate through harsh climates, each posing unique challenges.

Manage the relationships between individuals, families, and tribes. Watch your collective adapt over countless generations. Beware the unintended consequences current choices can have on your great-great-great-grandchildren.

Optimize your strategy before each autobattler skirmish, because a warrior is not just a warrior. When one falls in combat, the tribe loses not only a fighter but also a skilled hunter, family member, and carrier of hard-won wisdom passed down through the ages.

Hunt, gather, and extract resources from the ecosystems around you, but tread carefully: nature is ruthless and you are at its mercy. Maintain the natural equilibrium or face sudden and unexpected challenges.

Technology: a tech tree spanning the Pleistocene up to the start of the Bronze Age, covering skills from controlled fire and cooking, through domestication and agriculture, all the way to megalithic construction and the first cities.
Culture: shape your tribe’s unique culture, with evolving cultural norms that differentiate you from your neighbors, affecting trade and war.
Economy: resources are finite and their extraction affects the environment.
Ecology: 9 unique climates, each with a complex and dynamic food web.
Procedurally generated Earth-like maps based on realistic climate simulations.
Many generations of deeply simulated individuals with heritable traits, all affecting various game systems.
Narrative events that can alter the trajectory of your entire tribe.
Social Networks: Dynamic social network visualization, enabling a new way to understand and manage family trees and relationships between members of your band.
Diplomacy: trade, fight, or collaborate with other tribes.

First time playing a 4X game, pretty fun
The game is wonderful, with really a fleshed out theme and Era. I love the boardgame feel of it. There are many many choices and all seem equally viable. Some quality of life would be nice, like some options for autosave, a scoreboard. Other than that it has everything packed together in nice package.
A Great potential Enjoyed the game a lot also the developers are very responsive for sure I will come back to play this game more than one time

Die ersten 5 Runden von Civ in einem stundenlangen Aufbauspiel. Klasse gemacht: https://youtu.be/T5MEyDS17Ro
A civ-style 4x game where you play as a nomadic stone age tribe. During the early game you are forced to move around to find food, avoid predators and survive a harsh environment with ice ages, heat waves, floods, wildfires, and more. As the game goes on and your technology progresses, you get the tools needed to survive temperature swings, domesticate plants and animals, and start constructing your very early proto-civilization. Meanwhile you have to handle other tribes, some friendly, some not so friendly. I find this a very fun game, especially when "role-playing" at slow speed and just enjoying the story that unfolds (i.e. not minmaxing). I'd recommend it to anyone that love turn-based strategy games, especially to those also interested in history.
Amazing game, amazing onboarding and really novel title!
Awesome game. at least an 80% percent product.
Make rock smash head good
I absolutely LOVE the art, music, and vibe of this game. It is extremely relaxing, the visual theme is perfect, honestly 10/10. There is so much attention to detail the developer put into the little things that I appreciated seeing and hearing while playing. The popup tooltips are both very pretty and very helpful. In terms of gameplay, I don't think I have enough hours to get a full grasp of exactly how to play? I felt like 75% of my turns I had to just forage food, and I couldn't do any of the other actions like collect wood, stone, or domesticate. I'm also a bit confused about the domestication process -> I had Horses and Roots domesticated, built a pasture and a farm, but for some reason the farm was producing worse than just baseline foraging. This didn't make a lot of sense to me, as I invested 20+ turns in teching to the farms just to be debuffed. I'm also a bit confused about how weapons/etc work, I had slingers as a tech option and horses, but I didn't see anywhere to assign roles, or unit types, etc. I wanted more out of the strategic side of battle (I basically just hit auto and clicked go without thinking once about fighting). Last confusing bit is how the events resolve -> if an event DOESN'T land, the game says "This event DID NOT land" rather than just saying "Nothing happened". This required a lot of extra reading to figure out what happened (although these events never felt that consequential? I realized I could just ignore and click buttons). I really wish the production menu and the next turn button was on the right side of the screen, it was hurting my brain to stare at the bottom left corner of the screen for 80% of the game. But otherwise, the UI in this game feels incredibly well done and was pleasant to navigate.
