About
The foghorns wake you, violent as ever. Another passenger has come to cross the fog.
In the dream you wander through the pines, and come upon a body. Innocent and young, murdered in cold blood. By your hand or another? Makes no difference now.
Foghorns Drown is a short psychological thriller, inspired by Silent Hill, Twin Peaks, and Mouthwashing. You play as a ferryman, bringing passengers across a foggy lake to a town drenched in mystery and folklore. The old ferryman has disappeared, and a murder has been committed.
How to tell real from dream when the dead speak again?
Physics-based interactions to open doors, drag objects, and operate the crank of the ferry to pull it along a rusty old chain. The foghorns have little patience, the ferry must move.
A rich, detailed narrative told through environmental clues, dialogue with the townsfolk, and surreal visions woven into your experience. The fog speaks to those who listen.
Psychological horror that escalate as truth begins to blur, and strange old tales begin to reveal themselves to you. Something in the water demands its toll.
Who is the killer? Why did the old ferryman disappear? Solve the mystery, before it's too late.

beautiful
Another short horror game, though with this one I wished it had just been a little longer since it had the potential for it. Still highly recommend, but this one's hard to describe. Sort of a....dissolve into madness, in between places without being the new liminal standard, fun little "what the ♥♥♥♥ is that" moments. The atmosphere is heavy, cold, and unsettling. Something a little different but still getting that horror itch.

phenomenal.
This is a cut above a lot of these style games, teh game des so much with it's excellent atmosphere and world. It reminds me of early PS2 titles where the game models enough of the world that it's easy for your imagination to fill in the rest. I'm still thinking about this game a week after the experience - I'd love a longer experience and really hope the Devs stick with this location, style, setting, vibe and come back with a full 10 hour game experience with the proceeds from the game. Hopefully the devs know they've done a stellar job here -
Loved it, great atmosphere and look, bizarre story, great experience overall
I absolutely loved this. I was hooked from the demo, and the final game delivered on that and then some! My only tiniest nitpick is the price compared to the game's length, but if paying $9 means more intriguing stories and games from the devs, then by all means, please take my money and support!
Straight buns.
i was like oooh scary fish and then suddenly I was like naaah, this game good.
Based on visuals and setting it is a 4/5. There's no threat that you have to avoid. Right as it delves into the more strange and wonderful that it could have been, it ends, it feels unfinished. If the developers decided to go for a longer story than what you get, and not all over the place, it is an easy buy. So based on that I would not recommend it. 2,5/5. Perfectly average, yet personally a game you "skip and wait for the sequel".
