It's a minimalist golf game that can also be played on the foggy.golf website, making it ideal for the office. It could be better if the fog had some kind of clue or if the openings weren't always the same. For a free game, it's fine, and it's a great time killer. There's a new level every day, but you can play the old ones too. gonna skip the spanish inquisition bit and say this game combines not one, two, etc. but several of my least favorite things. sports (though digital golf and minigolf are sometimes okay), chess (technically a sport but come on), fog of war (I like to be aware of my surroundings) and mobile or browser ports (they tend to be lazy and/or overpriced). quite a handicap (golf term) but there are other major dealbreakers, worse than these. no hotkeys whatsoever, no dark mode, and since it's a puzzle(ish) game, no undo is unacceptable. though there's not much puzzling, it's all blind luck. you can see stroke history and an animated depiction of what transpired once the level is over, that's it. settings are a single volume slider (no music, so it's fine), a windowed mode toggle (not saved, it always starts in a window) and another to show available moves. there are also stats and an in-game achievements screen. as for the gameplay, chess pieces act as limited-use golf clubs, on top of the whole level being limited to a few moves, only revealed at the end, with par shown upfront. click a tile, select from what's available (hitting diagonally won't allow a pawn, for instance) and reveal more of the grid. there's grass and sand (not golf terms), water and trees, limiting visibility and ball movement. all this is explained on startup or whenever the ? icon is clicked. while it only offers a single daily level, no campaign or anything, the daily archive goes back to the dark ages. supposedly, as there is no level select screen, gotta click 'previous hole' a billion times. bring up a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ calendar and let me pick a date, like in every daily-based mobile game ever. insult to injury, starting the game lands on the current day even if it's already finished, instead of the last unplayed one. a 'last unplayed' button would already be an improvement, no point in going previous one by one until I happen upon a new one. further insult to an already fatally injured specimen: levels can't be replayed. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about stats and sharing my score, why won't you let people play your game properly? arguably, if you already know where the hole is, there's not much point, but nobody's gonna remember (let's say, haven't checked) hundreds of levels. there's a clear progress option (and import and export) but I don't want to wipe everything, just bring up level select that doesn't exist and try some of them again at some point. oh, and while the store page says 'no un-skippable video ads', there's a big-ass banner for their next game stuck in the corner that can't be turned off. I saw it, not interested, ♥♥♥♥ off. the same exact game is available in a browser where you can adblock the sucker, so unless you're married to meaningless steam achievements, there's no point in playing this here.

FOGGY Golf struggles to deliver an engaging experience, despite its simple concept. The foggy visual style quickly becomes more frustrating than atmospheric, making it difficult to judge shots accurately and draining the fun from the gameplay. With limited content, repetitive holes, and mechanics that lack polish, the game feels more like a rough experiment than a fully realized golf experience.
This is a very creative and fun game! Concept: You basically play golf using a certain number of chess moves in your inventory that allow you to swing the golf ball too certain squares. Certain tiles have different properties that effect gameplay and you can't see around you, so you discover tiles around you as you play. I love the concept mixing chess and golf creates innovating game play! Unlimited gameplay: They unlock a new puzzle every day, and have a collection of past puzzles to play from Sometimes Repetitive Gameplay: I began to notice that the flag usually near the other corner of the board where the guy starts. So my most effective strategy would be to hit diagonally from beginning and land one spot away from the edge of the board. Then hit towards the flag which works 30% to 70% of the time to often a guarente 2 or 3 hit. But the times when there is an obstacle to overcome is much more fun! Random Elements/Luck: There are some random elements of guessing where the hole is which players may or may not like depending on their play style I discovered in the game like in life, I can't see when I have sand in my eyes. Like life when ever I run into a tree I fall back onto the ground. Like life if I hit the ball in water I replace the ball to hit again. However, unlike life whenever I reflect off a tree and into water, I die LOL XD. 10/10 realism. Play it it's fun. If you don't play this game the sand ghosts will curse you and you won't be able to see anything but fog LOL.
It's a decent puzzle game. Has a few achievements-although about half are hidden so no clue how you get them other than luck. Biggest problem is the lack of an ability to pick a level or tournament to go to. You have to click previous puzzle a whole lot of times to get to new content.
Love this little game. It’s simple, super addictive, and perfect for a quick daily puzzle.
Really fun and inventive puzzle game that tickles your brain - if you enjoy Minesweeper, Battleship, Mastermind, and similar games where you use process of elimination to narrow down your search, you will get a kick out of this game too. This will join the ranks of a few other "daily puzzle" games like Wordle and Set that continue to entice me month after month to log in for a few minutes each day to do the latest one!
A very fun wordle type game, focused on golfing but played like chess. Quite unique, and enjoyable.
