There's a man who has artistic vision, He's showing up Valve with each decision, He makes it in a flash, And all the assets clash, Do his artistic skills know no boundaries? Valve, hire this man, Valve, hire this man, He's using Unity Engine in any way he can, Take a human model for the first step, And put him in a field filled with stock assets, Then adjust the lighting gain, And though it runs at 40 frames, This man's still a master of the medium, Valve, hire this man, Valve, hire this man, He's using Unity Engine in any way he can, Make a model's textures look realistic, With no regard for artstyle or the aesthetic, Oh, crank the bloom and then, It'll really look next gen, This man truly is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genius, Valve, hire this man, Valve, hire this man, He's using Unity Engine in any way he can,
Experimental first-person shooter that goes for the "broken" style. The game's world is one-of-a-kind. It's a place where everything is falling apart, and you're the only one standing between the invaders and success. Aside from the standard first-person controls, there’s also a jump mechanic for platforming sections. The stages are brief, and you're frequently tossed from one situation to the next. Unfortunately, the shooting isn't enjoyable. Enemies are everywhere, shooting bullets everywhere. Bullets move slowly and leave a red trail to indicate where they're going. However, evading them is difficult due to your large hit zone. When you see a bullet pass far to the left or below you, you may assume you're safe, but you still get hit. You could be standing in a safe area and still lose health. Furthermore, there is no consistency in the amount of damage you receive. One time you barely take any damage, and the next you're dead on a single hit. Other guns, such as shotguns and machineguns, you collect are useless. Unless it’s a grenade launcher, they’re worse than your starting pistol. When you collect ammo, it messes up your current ammo. For example, if you have 30 machinegun bullets and walk over an ammo pack, they will be reduced to 24 bullets. It turns out you can only carry a limited number of bullets. Reloading is another needless feature because a weapon will shoot as long as there is ammo. Enemies move around the stage the same way they shoot: randomly. They will casually walk over the edges, hit into stuff or hover in mid-air. Some turrets clip right into the environment. Their hitboxes occasionally fail since you can't hit them despite shooting directly at them. For the most part, platforming sections are fine. Moving platforms are the only issue. When riding on such a platform, there is some stuttering or glitching; it feels as if you are not moving with the platform. If you don’t want to fall off, you’ll have to move with the platform.
This is the only thing that kept me sane when I lived in Syria. Thank you Jackson Clayton for keeping me entertained through the rough times. Bless
Honestly, astounding. Never before have I seen such a natural evolution from the movement shooters of the 90s.
The biggest overall problem with the game for me was the lack of explanation. Controls aren't explained outside of special pop-up interactions, so I have no idea if it's possible to, say, switch weapons, since it seems like ammo is stored separately for each weapon but I don't know how to switch to another weapon if one runs out. It was also confusing as to which enemies can be killed, since enemies don't react when shot if it's not a killing blow. There were also times where a combination of low lighting and level design made it difficult to know where to go. Eventually I stopped playing about 3-3.5 hours in at one level where I just didn't know what to do. I think it would have been better if the developer had gone with making fewer levels but polishing those levels more.
The shooting is fun. A hidden gem of a game.
This is a great shooter game that does a good job of sticking to a theme, and diving deep into it. The gameplay is satisfying, the setting contributes to the atmosphere well, and the music is stellar to run and gun to. Definitely pick this one up.
funny amongus bean looking characters

as others have said, a hidden gem. very impressive level design and the gunplay is simply stellar.
