Great game - like the mechanics but also art style.
Its almost great, but rough edges and little things that personally annoy me keep me from really liking this game. Text constantly covering up my piece at the top of the board, how you cant buffer a piece from locking by rotating or moving it back and forth, the lack of t spins or kicks. no drop shadow, all the pieces being the same color, i can go on. I think the biggest issue is the fact that if you let an enemy attack it dumps crap all over your board, so you need to just clear a single line to stop each attack. if you try and build up for a tetris, or the cool 5 line clear, you will almost always take at least one attack that messes up your board so you have to downstack anyway. There are all kinds of cool equipment with really neat effects, like doing more damage on a 5 line clear, so it's a shame just quickly clearing a line or 2 every couple seconds is the only viable strategy. Despite all this, they still made a tetris game where you level up, go down a skill tree, find gear, use skills and items, and its still pretty fun. P.S I don't know who got the idea that tetris would be better if there were pentaminos instead of tetraminos. just please stop. i hate them so much. Also mixing the nice pixel art with non pixel rpgmaker esqe menus and energy effects really looks terrible,
With your Tetris pieces confined to your class selection and enemy abilities designed to fill your board with crap combat isn't interesting, instead it's a constant reminder of the pieces you'll never have for the situation at hand. The Freelancer class doesn't solve this either, excluding pieces found in actual Tetris. I don't have anything to say about the story, it's so forgettable I don't even recall what I would tell you.
How akward do you want skipping cutscenes to be? - YES!
The game bugs out and just locks you from all interactions if you use the throw piece skill to kill the guardian bug boss. Lost hours of my save for that
越玩越无聊,剧情不知道再讲什么无聊死,俄罗斯方块战斗新鲜感过后只剩下高度重复度,而且弱智作者还自创弱智方块,前期玩的难受要是
Very fun game with charming characters and dialogue
bug奇多的半成品,steamdeck体验完全是负分,与俄罗斯方块相结合的战斗设计很失败,根本就没法顾及战斗的演出和策略,冲着16位机复古画面和jrpg来的可以退散了
The coop mode doesn't work on Steam Deck Docked with two controllers. Both controllers are detected while registering buttons in the control menu, but the second controller is not recognized properly during battle. The second controller is detected as a keyboard. The only thing that work for the second player during battle is to select a target by pressing Option + PS buttons on a ps5 controller, which is recognized as the Tab button of a keyboard. If we remove the Tab button on the second player screen of the control menu, we cannot select target during battle. After several hours of try and retry errors with Steam options, like the Steam Input enabled / disabled and reachable in-game options, we was able to play in coop mode for a few hours. The next time we wanted to play, I tried several hours to do the same things, but the game refuse to recognize the second player inputs during battle other than selecting an enemy with the Option + PS buttons. Between both game sessions, the game got an update. I dont know if this update make the thing worst for the second controller to be recognized. Another bug: Some of the buttons are unreachable with a controller. The "Default", "Second Player" at "Categories" section and all the alternative inputs under "Controller" in the control menu are unreachable. Major bug: Later in game, sometime the Tetris board can completely freeze up, forcing you to restart the battle. This can happen with the TNT character selected. I have not found the main cause of this freeze behavior, but it can occurs during battle in Gon's Landing map when we got the ability to extinguish fire. When the Tetris board freeze up, there is no more incoming blocks and the enemies are unable to add any block either. Last time it occurred, I noticed that there was an arrow pointing down as the next incoming Tetris block. Noticed thing: When we plug-in a new controller as the second player, there are no default controller buttons registered. We need to register all the buttons manually each time we plug-in a new controller as the second player. The purpose of playing this game is to play in coop mode and it doesn't work in the current version. When this will be corrected, I will modify my review.
Great twist on tetris, i've had a great time with it. If you like tetris and rpgs youre in for a treat
