The game looks NOTHING like the trailer from 4 years ago. Graphics, mechanics, sounds, checklists... NOTHING is the same. Absolute lie. I played over 2 hours thinking something new will come up, something will change but felt no excitement nor joy playing this. Absolute waste of time. Recommend 0/10
Definitely one of the more boring games I’ve had the unfortunate displeasure of having to play. Now then, did that grab your attention? I hope so! I actually found myself wishing for the days when my father used to make me watch paint dry as a punishment. It’d be more entertaining cuz he’d make me do exercise at the same time so I’d also be improving myself, whereas with this game I felt like I was harming myself the longer I played it. It consists of sitting at a desk and waiting for flights to be completed. Every now and then they try to spruce it up a bit by having some unfortunate error with the planes in flight and you gotta go inside em and inspect em and solve the problems. However, it’s far too convoluted and confusing as well as unimportant since even if you fail you’ll still get paid and suffer no negative consequences. Did I mention the game is lacking in sound? It has boring elevator music that plays on repeat in the background and nothing else. No ambiance. No sound effects. No voice acting. All silent. When you upgrade your airport you don’t actually get to see any changes in the overview. Your crew all look the same and act the same. There’s actually so little management in this “management” game that you could hardly even call it that. There’s so many things wrong with this game that I’ll sum it all up by saying it’s boring and pointless. The only good they got right here was the price tag. But even for 8 dollars I feel you're wasting your time. Avoid this game. It’s so boring that even my dog wouldn’t wanna touch it. Had this on my wish list for almost 2 years... couldn't even get past the tutorial as is was so convoluted when doing the check list... restarted a few times in case it was a bug. Still no idea. Then couldn't click on the plane on the radar. Saw other couple of reviews come in. Looks like a waste of time. Cheap but looked too good to be true. Put a message out in the discussion for help but radio silence. Would have thought the devs would be all over the comments on day 1. Obviously not so not worth my time
I usually don't review games, but I feel this one deserves it. Too bad that Flight Catastrophe was already destined to be... well, a catastrophe. The devs sure know what they were doing! Long story short, it's boring. So boring, in fact, that made me request a refund after 12 minutes played. I completed the tutorial, saw that it was lacking in a lot of aspects, like music, UI, design, basically everything. It felt more like a chore than something amusing or entertaining. I gave it a test drive because it was cheap, but I certainly didn't expect to be so lackluster. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend such game, especially in its current state.
The game should just be called "Game Catastrophe".
Flight Catastrophe – A tense airline disaster sim with strategic decision-making, but clunky controls and repetitive scenarios hold it back. 6.5/10 Video Gameplay - https://youtu.be/oo32HasWS8k
This War of Mine à 30.000 pieds d’altitude.
Game really not ready. Has potential to be a really good game with like a ground engineer supporting the flight crew to solve issues but right now the controls are really clunky, there is loads of black loading screens and it doesn't appear like it's a release copy. Also the sound defaults to off which I'm guessing was done while they were developing the game. The fact that wasn't identified before release shows that there has been little quality control done prior to release. Do not recommend until there is a road map addressing these issues.
